On the solstice of winter, what traditional food should I eat for health?
Winter solstice is the earliest of the 24 solar terms, commonly known as "Winter Festival", "Dragon Solstice Festival" and "Asian New Year". However, most people don't know that the origin of the winter solstice comes from a national capital plan. As early as more than 3,000 years ago, Duke Zhou chose the longest day of the "sun shadow" in a year as the day when the New Year began.

From understanding to Qin dynasty, winter has always maintained the same state as the beginning of the year, and so did the Han dynasty. There is a saying in Hanshu: "The sun shines on the winter solstice, Jun Chang, congratulations." People originally celebrated the winter solstice to celebrate the arrival of the New Year. The ancients believed that because of the winter solstice, the days are getting longer and longer and the sun rises, which is the beginning of a solar cycle and an auspicious day and should be celebrated. The Book of Jin records: "The winter solstice in Wei and Jin Dynasties was celebrated by hundreds of people from all over the world ... its appearance is not as good as that in Zheng Dan", which shows that ancient times attached importance to the winter solstice. The winter solstice is celebrated as a festival. It originated in the Zhou Dynasty, flourished in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and has existed ever since.

Because the weather is cold in winter, especially from winter to the future, tonics are often warm and yang-nourishing, so as to resist cold evil and preserve health. As the saying goes, "medicine is better than food", some dietotherapy that is often eaten in winter to the sun has a good effect of tonifying yang and preventing cold. As soon as the solstice of winter arrives, the fire in the room warms up, and jiaozi flutters in the pot.
