Youyang is located in the southeast of Chongqing, in the hinterland of Wuling Mountain. It is the county with the largest area, the largest minority population, the highest forest coverage rate and the highest average altitude in Chongqing. It is the only county in Chongqing that does not enjoy high-temperature subsidies, and it is a veritable cool capital of Chongqing.
