Where does Xintian soybean belong?
Xintian soybean is a geographical indication protection product.

Xintian soybean is a specialty of Xintian in Yongzhou, Hunan Province.

Xintian in southern Hunan, known as the "three beauties", has a good ecology, pleasant scenery, air and water quality superior to the national first-class standards, and the whole soil is rich in selenium, which is an excellent place for health and longevity. Famous products such as rice, soybeans, fruits, vegetables and grass geese produced in Xintian are all rich in selenium, especially organic selenium-enriched soybeans with high calcium and high protein in Xintian, with the protein content ranking first in China and becoming the best health food for health and longevity. Xintian soybean wins by quality, occupies the right place and the right time, and has the absolute advantage of developing high-quality, high-grade and high-brand high-end products. Xintian soybean industry has ushered in the development spring of upgrading, speeding up and increasing efficiency!

Xintian is located in the subtropical monsoon climate zone, with mild climate, four distinct seasons, abundant rain and sufficient heat. It is a "greenhouse" county in southern Hunan and has the reputation of "the hometown of rice, stone and soil". According to the geophysical sampling survey and evaluation of Xintian by Hunan Geological Survey Institute, the whole county is in a selenium-rich or selenium-rich ecological environment, and the area with moderate selenium content (≥0.2mg/kg and < 0.4 mg/kg) is 43 1.4 square kilometers, accounting for 43.23%. The area with abundance index (≥0.4mg/kg) reached 566.6 square kilometers, accounting for 56.77%. Moreover, the selenium-rich stratum is thick, with good quality and moderate selenium concentration, accompanied by trace elements necessary for human body such as zinc, and is not polluted by toxic and harmful elements such as heavy metals. Therefore, a large area of paddy soil agricultural products are rich in organic selenium, which provides a unique geographical condition for the development of non-transgenic high-protein selenium-enriched soybeans. Tested by authoritative organizations, the selenium content of Xintian soybean is as high as 0. 15mg/kg, and the protein content is as high as 46%, ranking first in China. Farmers in Xintian have a traditional habit of planting soybeans and making bean products, forming a farming model of "soybean-rice rotation" and "soybean-potato interplanting". The county has built 654.38 million mu of high-calcium and high-protein selenium-enriched soybean raw material base with an annual output of 20,000 tons. There are many kinds of wild soybeans in this county, which are widely distributed and favored by experts, and can provide precious and rich germplasm resources for national research and development of soybeans. 20 1 1 Xintian won the title of "Original Ecological Selenium-enriched Food Base County" and "Selenium-enriched Soil Development and Utilization Research Base" in Hunan Province. Xintian Cuisine exhibited its elegance in the 5th China (Hunan) Shanxiang Cuisine Competition held in Changsha this year, and won four honors, especially Shiyang vinegar tofu, among which "Selenium-enriched soybean series products" won the honorary title of "designated products" in the competition.

Xintian soybean industry is facing a period of rapid development. With the concept of "green leading", make full use of the resource advantages of selenium-rich soil and strontium-rich water, and build the original ecological selenium and strontium brand based on local, national and international markets. Implement "five unified management" for selenium-enriched green food raw material bases, and promote standardized planting and large-scale operation. Actively carry out organic food certification, and strive for brand-name products and signs of origin. Strengthen the planning, packaging, publicity and promotion of "selenium and strontium" products, focus on improving Xintian's popularity, give play to brand effect, continuously expand industrial influence and enhance product competitiveness. Relying on scientific research institutes, the county has carried out technical research and implemented the combination of "production, learning and research" and achieved remarkable results. Xintian Soybean Association and South China Agricultural University actively carried out technical cooperation, successively undertook 12 batches and 100 national regional trials of new soybean varieties, introduced 10 new soybean varieties for field production test and demonstration, and established a breeding base of high-quality soybean varieties in cooperation, all of which achieved gratifying results. The technical team of South China Agricultural University, with Nianhai as the core, has spared no effort to contribute to Xintian soybean industry for eight years, given Xintian provenance support, technical guidance and work help, actively undertaken the technical project of "improving the yield-increasing performance of Xintian Mayyellow", and invited and accompanied domestic and foreign experts to inspect and guide Xintian for many times, creating a good external environment for Xintian soybean industry development. The Science and Technology Department of Hunan Province appointed Dr. Jiang Liwen from Hunan Agricultural University as the Science and Technology Commissioner of Xintian County to guide the development of soybean industry in Xintian County. In recent years, Xintian has actively implemented three technical measures of "variety improvement, farming reform and technical upgrading", and achieved three major benefit targets of "high quality, high yield and high efficiency" in soybean planting. In the past eight years, the county has introduced and promoted 30,000 mu of new varieties with high quality and high yield, and the rate of high-quality varieties has reached over 95%. According to the acceptance results of the introduction, demonstration and popularization of high-quality and high-yield soybeans and the application of supporting technologies in Xintian County, Yongzhou Science and Technology Bureau, the average yield per mu of new soybean variety Yuechun 03-3 is 228.5 kg, which is 89 kg higher than that of local "wuhuang" soybeans (139.5 kg/mu), and the yield is more than 63%. ■ Hutushun
