Weibaoshan is not far from the ancient town of Weishan. It takes more than half an hour to drive, but most of the journey is on Panshan Road, so you can only walk slowly. Fortunately, the scenery along the way is beautiful and pleasing to the eye. Wei Baoshan has few tourists, but don't underestimate it. It is the birthplace of Nanzhao, a famous Taoist mountain, and is as famous as Jizu Mountain.
All right, start heading for the top of the mountain! Although Weibaoshan is not high, with an altitude of only 2509 meters, there are 22 Taoist temples dotted all the way, which completely retain the architectural style of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, among which the rich Taoist cultural charm is a must in China. For example, Nanzhao Tuzhu Temple is the origin and center of Tuzhu culture.
Although there are no tourists, I still feel the solemn atmosphere coming. Here, every year on the eighth day of the second lunar month, Yi compatriots from all over the world gather here to hold a grand ancestor worship ceremony. It can be said to be the ancestral temple of the Yi people.
The whole architectural style is very similar to that of the Han Dynasty, Sui and Tang Dynasties, but these two Shi Hu shows its uniqueness. In the Han dynasty, it was usually a stone lion, but here are two "tigers going down the mountain".
It's nice to have no one! I can take a selfie with a tripod, so I don't need a tripod when there are many people. Wenchang Palace, Wenchang Palace in Weibaoshan is very different from Wenchang Palace in other places. Weibaoshan has a great treasure: there are four murals painted in the 24th year of Qing Qianlong (1759) on the stone pier in Long Ting, Guanneiwen, including the mural treasure Songxia Tugetu, which studies Yi culture!
Unfortunately, Long Wenting won't let me go up, so I can't watch the treasure up close. Fortunately, this "Longtan Smoke Willow" has great charm in the south of the Yangtze River, and it appeared on the border of Yunnan, which surprised me. The covered boat in the swimming pool is a model, not a real one. I thought it was true at first sight. If you look at it again, the proportion is obviously wrong, and you will know that it is a model, hahaha!
According to legend, the Shenquan well was drilled by Meng You during his training in the Han Dynasty. It is also said that during the Three Kingdoms period, soldiers in Shu drank dumb spring water by mistake and could not speak. Zhuge Liang personally went to this temple to fight the spring to help the soldiers. Later, it was inferred that drinking this spring water regularly can strengthen the body and has the effect of driving away diseases and evil spirits, and it is said that people who are unlucky or suffering from diseases often come thousands of miles to ask for the spring water. I also drank it, hoping to cure my diarrhea;
The Prince's Hall and Weibaoshan are famous Taoist mountains, but this one is a Buddhist temple dedicated to the Buddha statue of Sakyamuni when he was a prince. Because the prince is in charge of people's fertility and has the function of seeking children, other Taoist temples in Weibaoshan are sparsely populated, while the incense in the Prince's Hall is flourishing.
The Prince's Hall is small, but it is full of flowers and incense, just as the ancients said: Buddhism is all over the world in the prosperous times, and Taoism is alone in the mountains. The bodhisattva in troubled times did not ask, but the old gentleman took the sword to save the vicissitudes of life;
When I saw the name Xia Qing Palace, I was shocked. I thought this was for Brigitte Lin. Besides, Brigitte Lin is still under construction! After a careful look at the introduction, I realized that Brigitte Lin is not the same thing, just the same name. It was built by Quanzhen Taoist Shen Yuqing of Wudang Mountain in Hubei Province in the 22nd year of Kangxi (1683). It is dedicated to the ten disciples of Taishang Laojun, Zhunti Taoist and Laojun, but why is it called Xia Qing Palace? Still don't understand;
It is said that Taishang Laojun practiced here, so he left the remains of "Laojun meditation stone" and "Laojun support stone". Unfortunately, I never found it. ...
It is unusual to put a plaque with the words "Xia Qing Now" behind the door. It is rare to see a plaque behind the door. In this way, people who come in can only see it when they go out from here. Besides, the so-called "Xia Qing reappearance", what does "Xia Qing" mean here? I guess it may be a kind of scenery, but I'm not sure. Please leave a message if you know anything!
Jade Emperor Pavilion, basically halfway up the mountain, is the only Taoist temple with a harem in China and the largest temple in Weibaoshan, dedicated to the Jade Emperor.
There are 10 color murals of the Qing Dynasty on the roof of the main hall, including nine paintings of Kowloon and one painting of fire and water. It's a pity that the hall is too dark and the photos taken are too blurred, so I won't let them out. Let's enjoy the charm of the ancient temple in the mountains, it is still empty. ...
The Three Emperors Hall, dedicated to Emperor Yan and the Yellow Emperor Fuxi, is also dedicated to a well-known goddess in China, Nu Wa, which is very rare. Here, we will reach the top soon, come on! Continue to go up;
To the top! Doulao Pavilion. Mother means mother, not old. There is a famous mountain in Fujian called Taimu Mountain. I have only seen two place names with this word. Who has seen the third film? Leave a message to inform!
Popularize knowledge! Doulao is the mother of stars in Taoism, the goddess in charge of astronomical phenomena and the god in charge of agricultural festivals. In our China mythology, there are not many goddesses, but everyone is a great god!
This stone carving makes me a little confused. First, isn't Dou a goddess? It stands to reason that you should carve a phoenix, so why should you carve a dragon? Does it mean that women step on men? Secondly, it seems to be a stone carving with a little age, and there is no explanation. Which dynasty was it carved in the end? What's the significance? In the past three years, I have walked through many historical sites and carved a dragon in the middle. I remember there is one in the Forbidden City, and I haven't seen many others. What's the significance of this dragon here? A mystery;
After a short rest, the air on the top of the mountain is fresh and sparsely populated. Looking at the distant mountains, such as waves and cloudy days. It looks like rain.
In fact, Wei Baoshan is not tall. It takes only one and a half hours to climb from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. Perhaps because of the epidemic, I only met 1 a couple of college students and a foreigner, but I didn't see the fifth person. Less people is good! You can stroll quietly, but I still hope that the epidemic will pass soon;
Those college students also climbed up. I should go down the mountain! Unfortunately, because I took the wrong road, I passed another scenic spot "Changchundong Temple Temple" in Weibaoshan, but I didn't know it. Unfortunately, I passed by. If there is an opportunity, I will definitely make up for this shortcoming next time. ...

Write it at the end
Wei Baoshan is not tall. As long as you are healthy, you can stroll upstairs without any difficulty. Personally, I think it is not as good as Jizu Mountain and Shui Mu Mountain nearby, but it has two advantages that are inferior to other places. First, Taoism has a strong flavor, and people who like Taoism will definitely like it here. Second, there are undisturbed natural scenery, and there are not so many unsightly railing notices. Everything is so natural when you walk. Of the 22 Taoist temples, except Changchundong Temple Temple, 2 1 were all visited. Unfortunately, space is limited and we can't get together. I can only choose a few representative ones to introduce to you. If there is an opportunity, I still recommend you to take a walk in person and feel it. ...
