What does fascia mean?
Fascia is a tense fluid system. How to understand the tension fluid system? This fluid structure mainly highlights the role of hyaluronic acid (HA) between fascias, which affects the relative sliding between different loose connective tissue layers, just like our common sponge.

Sponge becomes brittle and hard when it dries. When a sponge is filled with water, it will become elastic. You can press it into a small ball and it will bounce back. Understand this truth, we can understand the importance of hyaluronic acid between fascia.

When (HA) has good fluidity, it can greatly improve the flexibility, integrity and elasticity of fascia. What we call "stretching muscles" also refers to an external form of sliding between fascia layers.

If the fluidity of fascia decreases, it is easy to stick together, or let them slide with each other under hydration. This is one of the causes of fascia injury. If it becomes more and more "dry", the fascia will be more easily damaged and become fragile.

Italian FM fascia manipulation is one of the three factions of fascia, which affects the relative sliding between different loose connective tissue layers and between loose connective tissue and fiber layers. The entanglement between HA chains can be solved by increasing the temperature (40℃) and alkalization. Provide enough pressure and friction, change the sliding characteristics between fascia layers, loosen the aggregation of hyaluronic acid (HA) in connective tissue, and activate fascia activity.
