About the origin of picking the tip, there is a detailed record in the book Yangquan Diet: Li Shimin's royal sister Bagu went to Mianshan to recite scriptures for the villagers and practice medicine. One day, when an old woman was preparing medicine and cooking, she added flour when it was soft, added water when it was hard, and finally stirred the flour until it was thin and soft.
Seeing the water boiling in the pot, Aunt Ba used her quick wits, picked up a piece of wood, put the soft dough on the board, tried to put the noodles into the boiling water pot with chopsticks, and actually put the noodles aside.
After the noodles were cooked, the old woman ate well and asked, "Son, what's this called?" Aunt mistook "this" for "you" and blurted out, "Call aunt." The old woman mistakenly heard it as "dialing stocks", and from then on she had a face of "dialing stocks", which was the earliest choice. Later, the tip-picking gradually spread and became an indispensable and exquisite staple food on the table of Shanxi people.
