There are three levels of TCM health care workers. They are assistant Chinese medicine hygienist, Chinese medicine hygienist and senior Chinese medicine hygienist.

Doctors are divided into four grades: resident (junior), attending physician (intermediate), deputy chief physician (deputy senior, equivalent to associate professor) and chief physician (senior, equivalent to full professor).
