Chongqing Zoo is one of the earliest breeding bases for giant pandas and red pandas in China. The Panda Pavilion covers an area of 1. 1.000 square meters and is divided into an upper panda pavilion and a lower panda pavilion. Most of the panda bedrooms are in caves, and eight pandas, Chuan Xing, Xin Xing, Liang Liang, Lan Xiang, Er Shun, Ya Ya, You You and Mangzai, are kept in the pipeline for exhibition.
2, herbivore area
There are 26 kinds of animals on display in the herbivore area, which are divided into nine exhibition areas: Elephant Pavilion, Changjin Deer Pavilion, Kangaroo Pavilion, Zebra Pavilion, Hippo Pavilion, Rhino Pavilion, Turtle Pavilion, Antelope Pavilion and Luyuan.
3. The Wild Animal Area
Wild animals are not all carnivores, including tigers, African lions, leopards and other carnivores, as well as omnivores such as monkeys, orangutans and brown bears. There are 56 species and more than 300 species of animals on display in the Beast Zone of Chongqing Zoo, which are divided into ten sub-zones, such as Tiger Mountain, Lion Hall, Orangutan Hall, Lovely Animal Area, Woong San, Monkey Hall and Comprehensive Animal Hall.
The specially introduced Tiger Mountain, located in the center of the park, is now the home of South China Tiger, Northeast Tiger and Bengal White Tiger.
4. Bird Language Forest
Bird Language Forest exhibits more than 65,438+0,000 species of birds at home and abroad, including more than 200 rare birds from America, Australia, Africa and Southeast Asia.
There are the largest purple-blue golden parrot in the parrot family, the beautiful flamingo, the largest emu in Australia and the black swan. It is the largest ecological bird forest in China, which integrates bird protection, fun for people and birds, popularization of popular science knowledge and leisure and entertainment.
5. Amphibian Crawling Hall
A total of 7 1 species of animals were exhibited in the Amphibian Crawling Hall. There are giant salamanders of different sizes, creepy snakes, precious crocodiles, large green turtles, tropical fish and goldfish.
6. Goldfish Hall
Unique design, exquisite layout and beautiful landscape make the whole courtyard elegant and quiet. There are more than 30 kinds of goldfish here now.
