How to identify with the ideals and beliefs of young and middle-aged cadres in the new period
Young cadres are the hope of the party and the country and the future of socialist modernization. They have the advantages of high education, high enthusiasm and high expectations, but they also have shortcomings such as lack of ability, experience and responsibility. In today's society, how can young cadres become people with credible masses, available leaders and reliable organizations, and how can they make up for the shortcomings of "three shortages" with the advantages of "three highs"? The author believes that the growth of young cadres should firmly establish five kinds of consciousness.

First, establish self-confidence and be firm. Faith is a person's spiritual pillar and forward coordinate, a fusion of ideal and will, and a meeting of spirit and character. What kind of ideals and beliefs a person has, what kind of life pursuit and interest he has. For young cadres, lofty ideals and beliefs are a powerful spiritual pillar and an inexhaustible source of strength. Therefore, we must always have a firm belief in Marxism, in production, in the leadership of the Chinese production party and in Socialism with Chinese characteristics's modernization. We should constantly strengthen theoretical study, improve theoretical level, care about national affairs, pay attention to small things around us, strengthen political sensitivity education, fully understand the current complex environment, effectively enhance socialist road self-confidence, theoretical self-confidence, institutional self-confidence, insist that Qingshan will not relax, pursue sincerely and persistently, make progress with confidence, and struggle unswervingly.

The second is to establish self-knowledge and serve the people without forgetting the roots. Party member cadres are public servants of the people, and young cadres must adhere to the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly if they want to grow up. The masses of the people are the masters of making history, and the party's leaders of past dynasties have compared the relationship with the masses to the feeling of rain and dew, to the relationship between flesh and blood, and to the relationship between seeds and land. Young cadres should always care about the masses and consciously safeguard, realize and develop the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people. All problems, contradictions and difficulties can be solved as long as the masses are in your heart. We should always be soberly aware that the people have nurtured themselves, so we should be loyal to the party, to the people, to serve the people, to serve the society with a solid working attitude and to repay the people.

Third, establish self-motivated, diligent and pragmatic. Diligence and pragmatism are not only a realm, an ability, but also a good habit and pursuit. We should get used to Excellence and pursue Excellence. Diligence and hard work will not be slack, diligence and attendance will improve ability, diligence for the people will win people's hearts, and diligence and honesty will prevent corruption. If young cadres want to grow up, they should always motivate themselves, always be enthusiastic about their careers, work diligently and conscientiously, always maintain a positive and enterprising spirit, respond to every job with full passion, be diligent and pragmatic, do their jobs well, and fulfill the tasks entrusted by the party and the people dutifully.

The fourth is to establish a sense of self-improvement, dare to take responsibility and not shirk. Dare to take responsibility is a kind of work attitude, a spirit of being highly responsible to the people, the party and the historical cause, a fearless spirit of facing risks, overcoming difficulties and not being afraid of despair, and a reflection of cadres' high sense of responsibility and strong professionalism. Young cadres must be self-reliant and dare to take responsibility if they want to grow up. Dare to try in the face of difficulties, dare to be the first, regardless of personal gains and losses; Dare to act in the face of risks, dare to take responsibility, do not avoid contradictions, can boldly solve difficult problems in work and dare to innovate; In the face of complex contradictions and difficulties that the masses urgently need to solve, we should dare to face difficulties, take responsibility, not shrink back or shirk, and strive to create achievements worthy of the country, the party and the people.

The fifth is to establish a sense of self-discipline, diligent and honest, and not corrupt. Diligence and clean government means exercising power according to law, using power effectively, treating work with a positive and serious attitude, working diligently with the spirit of hard work and skillful work, and giving full play to the functional role of public power as much as possible. Young cadres should persist in serving the public interests wholeheartedly, abandon selfish and distracting thoughts, maintain the mentality of "keeping the wind clean and upright, leaving no cotton in the south of the Yangtze River", always be strict with themselves in thought, work and life, consciously resist the erosion of decadent ideas and the temptation of money and beauty, and build a "firewall" to resist corruption and change, be cautious in words and deeds, be honest and clean.

Young cadres need to grow constantly in long-term practice. Only by firmly establishing five kinds of consciousness of "self-confidence, self-knowledge, self-motivation, self-improvement and self-discipline" and strengthening self-cultivation and exercise can we grow into "good cadres" with firm beliefs, serving the people, being diligent and pragmatic, daring to take responsibility and being honest and clean.
