Qi Jun, formerly known as Pan Xizhen, 19 17 was born in an ancient family in Quxi Township, Yongjia, Zhejiang Province. Due to the early death of his parents, he and his brother were raised by their uncle's parents and adopted to Pan Guogang, uncle of Jiuli Rongxing. He was regarded as the apple of his uncle's parents' eye. He studied traditional culture with his tutor for free, and then he studied under the "one pronoun Sect" Xia. With the growth of age and experience, her attainments in Chinese are getting higher and higher, and she has published many works. Since the 1950s, essays such as Smoke Sorrow, Red Deng Sha, Rain of Osmanthus Flowers, Sleeping at Night, Sweet Water in My Hometown, Mother's Heart and Buddha's Heart have been published one after another. Mr. Xia Zhiqing once said: "Qi Jun's prose comes down in one continuous line with Li Houzhu's and Li Qingzhao's ci, but her achievements and realm are higher than Li Er's. I am really proud of China's contemporary literature. I think many essays by Qi Jun should be passed down from generation to generation. " He thinks that a pair of gold bracelets and a bun should have replaced Rush and Back as middle school textbooks and even been included in the Nobel Prize. This is Mr. Xia's high opinion of Qi Jun's works. One of the important reasons why Qi Jun's works get such high praise is the "compassion" advocated in her works. She always treats everything gently, not limited to her own small world.
First, kindness is kindness, and sadness is sadness.
In China's inherent concept, kindness and sadness are almost connected. We often say that compassion means treating people with tolerance and compassion. In Buddhism, goodness is goodness, sorrow is sorrow, loving all beings, giving happiness is kindness, sympathizing with their sufferings, and pulling them out is sorrow. In Qi Jun, "sympathy" seems to have another meaning. She is an out-and-out sentient person, and the extreme of this sentimentality is bodhisattva's heart, that is, compassion. However, her compassion is not the attitude of God who rules the world, nor is it compassion and sympathy for helping the poor. She is just a devout believer and believes in the kindness and compassion she believes in.
Second, kindness is tolerance and kindness to all beings.
In Qi Jun's works, he pursues a spiritual realm of perfection, which stems from the author's sincere temperament and his own moral cultivation of loyalty and forgiveness. It always reminds the author himself and reminds us to be tolerant and caring for all beings.
(1) Be lenient with others
Qi Jun is the apple of Master Pan Guogang's eye. Especially after the death of her brother, Pan Fu said sadly, "You are an only child", which shows her high status and deep affection. But as a housekeeper, she never puts on airs, but has become good friends with long-term workers of all ages in her family. Listen to Arongbo telling stories, play chess with Uncle Abiao, guess bean boxing, accompany grandpa to see the temple and play with Axi ... In Qi Jun's warm narrative, Arongbo, who squatted behind the barn on rainy days, peeled and fried beans for himself, is her other grandfather, and Axi, who often quarrels with her about the quality of the temple fair, is simply her other brother. They get along in an orderly way, but there is never a difference between good and bad. They are very happy and full of the warmth of a big family.
Qi Jun is also very tolerant of people who have hurt themselves. Aunt, for example, took away her mother's beloved husband and left her depressed all her life. She still doesn't like Qi Jun, and often bullies her unreasonably, taking away her beloved doll and making it unrecognizable ... These, in order not to make her mother sad, Qi Jun just secretly cried under the quilt, but never said it. In order to get in touch with more books, she often stands at a distance and listens to her aunt read the books her father bought for her to relieve boredom. Later, when my father died, my mother was gone, leaving my aunt alone. Qi Jun put aside all previous grievances and took good care of her life. For another example, a sum of money that a family depended on for survival was dumped by a friend. We all have to scold such bad friends, but Qi Jun doesn't complain. What she thought was, "This has taught us how to live in poverty and humbleness, and how to enjoy endless family happiness". She is always thinking. She always thinks only of the good. From here, you can also see her realm.
Qi Jun also treats the poor with tolerance and tenderness. Wang San rowed, my clam shoes wrote, and she was also full of sympathy for beggars. From Uncle Aaron, Fairy Boy and a pair of gold bracelets, we can also see a frugal, kind, tolerant and charitable Qi Jun.
(2) Be kind to others.
Her pen not only writes people, but also can not be separated from her beloved animals and plants. Her debut is Me and My Little Yellow Dog. She writes about cats (five cats in the family), dogs (lonely domestic dogs, lost dogs, old shoemakers and dogs), monkeys (goodbye gawk), even mice (of mice and men, Year of the Rat) and ants (watching ants), revealing her deep affection for animals between the lines.
What impressed me the most was The Story of Sending Pigeons. Although she didn't know how to treat it, she pulled herself together and tried to save the pigeon through her own efforts, but the pigeon really got better under her care. Qi Jun is very happy and often takes pigeons for a walk. He even calls them "walking pigeons". I remember when I was a child in the countryside, my grandmother used to throw many ducklings into boiling water to cook a dish. A little friend and I tried our best to save a duckling with a scalded foot, treated it with medicine and took it for a walk. Later, the duckling died because of his injuries, and we were all very sad ... Over the years, I grew up little by little, and life simply made me lose a layer of skin. I .. lost in the impetuous air, reading "Sending Pigeons" under the lamp in the middle of the night, I seemed to see the little girl who was ignorant and simple and shed tears for the duckling. My heart is full of emotions, and I don't know whether it's for Qi Jun or my little self.
Qi Jun also takes care of plants. She seems to be partial to bluegrass, and her works often mention meticulous care for bluegrass.
Qi Jun is very kind to people and things, and "having fun with all beings" will always be her pursuit.
Third, sadness is pity for the world.
Someone once said that the world is a comedy to be understood with reason and a tragedy to be understood with emotion. Qi Jun has always been a man of temperament, so her works are pessimistic, not that kind of soul-stirring profundity, but a kind of helplessness that makes people lament. Just like a few years ago, when I first read Ling Zhi, Book of Sacrifice to Twelve Lang and Book of Sacrifice to My Sister, the suffocating sadness was beyond words!
In Qi Jun's works, I believe that one image must be deeply rooted in people's hearts, that is, an aunt who raised her and regarded her as her own. Her mother is a typical wife and mother in China traditional society. She is gentle, humble and thrifty, resigned and full of Buddha's heart. However, such a virtuous woman is almost perfect, but she suffers great pain in her heart. No one will forget the hairpin that stung the mother's heart on the second mother's head in the bun; No one will forget the plum handkerchief in A Little Plum Blossom, which was painstakingly embroidered by the mother according to the plum hairpin given by her father. No one will forget the husband who changed his mind while eating Chinese cabbage, but take care of his life as always. Under the stone porch, she squinted at a woman who picked a big bowl of boiled bird's nest ... her mother was just a victim of feudal marriage. Although she and her father were childhood friends, love happened after marriage. Later, her father changed his mind, and she has been living in bitterness. Qi Jun saw all this in her eyes. She sympathized with her mother's misfortune. So in the bun, when Mrs. Chen scolded her mother for not being worthy of combing her hair, she cried with anger. Later, she learned to comb her mother's hair, and gradually understood her mother and her mother. So in A Little Plum Blossom, when her father returned the plum blossom handkerchief impatiently, she lied to her mother in good faith and secretly hid the handkerchief in her schoolbag. So, Qi Jun complained for his mother and wrote a biography of the novel "Orange is Red", which was so forbearing and profound! Bai Xianyong even said, "Qi Jun is creating a statue for a lost era. The faint images are telling basically the same old story, and there are so many touching good articles that let us see a good woman with a bodhisattva heart silently suffering inhuman pain and humiliation after being abandoned by her husband. These are unforgettable for her and us.
There is another character, and what impressed me the most is her uncle who stole the liver to eat. This man, who idles around all day and is addicted to gambling, is very annoying! But in Qi Jun's works, this man is somewhat unruly. She lamented that his talent was useless, and his simple but unattainable love for Ayue, a female worker. In her impression, "Uncle Ben said,' She should like the second brother, but I don't deserve it'. From this point of view, Uncle Ben is a kind-hearted person. " No one is absolutely good or bad. She saw another side of him. She said, "I taught Ayu to read, and my uncle bought her a whole set of great stories. Uncle Gou said,' Let her read twenty-four filial piety and serve her sister-in-law wholeheartedly, so she wouldn't read the new book and she cried.' He's right. She kept crying, and later married a boatman with tears in her eyes. The whole family lived in a black river. ..... So simple to hide sadness, how not touching?
Later, she went to Taiwan Province Province, engaged in judicial work for many years, and saw all kinds of life. She said, "The motive for killing people can sometimes be compassion. In addition to the established general rules, there are deeper considerations for putting forward good and evil. " Therefore, she always treats her works with a merciful heart, so there is no complete villain in her works. She tolerates them because they are kind people.
Qi Jun's works are permeated with such tender compassion, which is inseparable from the accumulation of the writer's life and the influence of others. There is no doubt that the mother who has the greatest influence on her is naturally full of "mother's heart and Buddha's heart." She is a devout Buddhist and treats all beings well. In her eyes, she is a pool of stagnant water. When there is no excitement on the surface, there is never any malicious words in her mouth ... When someone makes a long speech or hurts people, she shakes her hand again and again and says,' Don't say that. When you go to the underworld in the future, will Yan Xi pull your tongue out and put it on the shelf in Niu Geng!' "She taught her to sympathize with the weak, be kind to life and cherish happiness. Mother's teaching not only cultivated Qi Jun's gentleness and kindness, but also was the source of her sympathy and pity for all sentient beings. It also touched me deeply. I feel that I am a petty person who is not open-minded. I often sulk about little things for no reason, and I don't like many things. But when I look at Qi Jun's works and her mother, I suddenly feel that to be a kind girl, I should always have a bodhi heart, sincerity and tolerance.
Qi Jun received court training in his early years. The tutor is a Mr. Ye, who is also a devout Buddhist. After teaching, she simply put on a robe and traveled to become a monk. Teacher Ye taught her, in addition to a solid Chinese foundation, is generous.
In her later study career, she met Xia, a "one-pronoun Sect", and became his female disciple. Teacher Xia has a deep influence on her. From her poetry creation to her understanding of Zen and even life, she has benefited a lot and taught her to be kind to others. It is Mr. Xia's inculcation that makes it possible to always write with conscience and write so many excellent articles.
And the grandfather of the god of wealth who even keeps thieves at a distance. He is very kind to everyone, even ants need protection. He braved the snow to support the poorest troupe and gave them a silver dollar to buy hot wine to drink; Instead of beating and scolding the thief, he gave him two silver dollars to help him through the difficulties of life; He knew how to keep in good health and never got angry, so he lived happily in his nineties and died. Such a charitable old man often teaches her philosophy of life in life and guides her to pursue a life of truth, goodness and beauty.
Childhood life, personnel, relatives and teachers occupy an unshakable position in the writer's mind, and their influence later penetrated deeply into the writer's works, and gradually evolved into a unique complex and personality, which constructed an eternal and compassionate Qi Jun for us.
In fact, compassion is compassion.
It is often said that compassion is compassion. Buddha said that kindness is happiness and sadness is pain. My understanding of compassion in Qi Jun's works is that kindness means forgiving all sentient beings, and sorrow means compassion for the world. But I think, whether it is compassion or "kindness and sorrow", what they advocate and pursue is to help all beings pull out their pain and finally get happiness on the basis of truly realizing life. This is the same.
