The above is the situation that the acquired essence enters the meridians through the five senses and has an effect on the body.

Biological cells inhale and exhale the body to generate energy flow. Here, cells, energy flow and meridian body are called three substances, namely, innate essence, innate meteorology and innate vitality (Shen Yuan, spirit and qi).
