Where does litchi grow?

Litchi is native to China and widely distributed in China. It is also planted in the south, southwest and southeast. At present, it is mainly cultivated in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Hainan, Sichuan, Taiwan Province and southern Fujian.

Litchi growing environment

Litchi trees are suitable for growing in high temperature, high humidity and sunny environment. They need a relatively low temperature during flower bud differentiation, but when the temperature is between MINUS 2 and MINUS 4 degrees, they will suffer from freezing injury. Litchi blossoms, and the weather is sunny and warm but not dry. When pollinating, the humidity should not be too low, and it is not suitable for pollination in rainy days.

Vegetation process

Litchi seedlings are mainly vegetative and will turn to reproductive growth in adulthood. When it blooms and bears fruit, it will focus on the vegetative growth of new shoots and crowns. After the high-yield fruit-bearing period, it enters the aging period, the growth ability of root cap and root system is weakened, and the whole body naturally shrinks.
