Chapter 46: There are no so-called difficulties in my heart.

Wang Yangming went on to say that in the process of self-cultivation, a person's spirit, morality, words and deeds should pay attention to convergence. The more difficult it is, the more persistently he will temper himself. We should also temper ourselves with difficulties. When overcoming difficulties, a person has a unique temperament from the inside out, which is a convergent "qi". Accumulated to a certain extent, it will be manifested in words and deeds.

In Wang Yangming's view, the ideological level is the most difficult level. All kinds of things have to be tempered by their own hearts and their own consciousness.

There are many mysteries in improving the realm of self-cultivation, which can be realized through perseverance. If I persist in the most difficult and difficult moment, once I break through, I seem to be able to integrate with nature.

Chapter 47: Progress lies in every effort.

After Wang Yangming talked about his determination and perseverance, the students stopped asking questions for a long time. Wang Yangming is a bit strange. Wang Yangming gathered all the students in crack hon temple and began to give lectures. He said that all selfish desires are unconscious, just like the dust in the house. Students need to practice hard to realize the endless Tao.

Wang Yangming said that everything in the world has an endless law and is changing. We should sincerely observe it carefully and understand its roots. Cultivation, like anything else, should be done at any time. Even if we don't know the truth now, we should take action first, start from the known place, and gradually improve and control it.

Nature is unpredictable, follow the Tao and nature, do things for people, prosper by the way, and die against the Tao. We should always adjust our consciousness and behavior to make it consistent with Tao and in harmony with the laws of the universe.

To acquire knowledge of things is inseparable from actions taken, and the progress in acquiring knowledge lies in every effort.

Chapter 48: What is the key to keeping healthy?

Lu Cheng was weak and sickly since childhood. One day, he asked his teacher about the way of keeping in good health, and what vitality, Shen Yuan and Yuan Jing are in Taoism.

Wang Yangming said that these three things are actually the same thing, all of which originated from Tao. They are presented in different states. If you go against convention, you will have no distractions. When you gradually reach pure yang, the Yuan God appears. Conscience is the Tao, and Shen Yuan is the clever use of conscience. Yuan Qi, Shen Yuan and jing yuan belong to the conscience. The key to health preservation lies in abstinence. Kill lust in the bud, and stop it as soon as it sprouts. This is the essence of health care.

Wang Yangming's cultivation has reached a high level. When he was young, he pursued the theory and method of health preservation and put it into practice.

Chapter 49: The Mystery of Keeping Ambition

During Wang Yangming's tenure at the Nanjing Shrine, another student was very curious, and that was Xue Kan. As far as talent is concerned, Xue Kan is inferior to Xu Ai and Liu Cheng. One day they came to Wang Yangming's study and asked about the mystery of keeping ambition.

Wang Yangming said that to hold on to your ambition is to think about your ambition all the time and how to achieve it, so that your mind can't calm down. Not only can you not do things well, but you will fall into a state of self-interference and ideological conflict. Is to put it into your heart. Even if you have great wishes, you should practice them in your daily life as if you don't have them. Cultivate tolerance and let go that you can afford, and don't take things too seriously. Don't let things lead you by the nose.

Chapter 50: All feelings are controlled by the heart.

Wang Yangming gave lectures during his tenure at Hongqiao Temple in Nanjing, and more and more people came to attend the lectures, so that the inn was full. Wang Yangming had to tidy up the garden and give it to the students. One day, Xue Kan and other students were clearing weeds in the garden. Everyone is very tired because of the hot weather. Xue Kan got up and complained: Between heaven and earth, why are good things always difficult to cultivate and bad things always difficult to remove? Wang Yangming took this opportunity to explain it to him after listening. Everything in the world, like flowers and plants, is neither good nor bad. Flowers are good when you want to see flowers, and grass is good when you want to use grass. Good and bad, good and evil are our subjective wishes. Everything in the world has good and evil, and the reasons for its good and bad are artificially added.

We shouldn't add up good and evil on purpose. The distinction between good and evil depends entirely on the natural laws of heaven and earth, and we can't put a little selfishness on it, so that our hearts won't stagnate and we won't leave anything behind, that is, we will never like or dislike it.

Chapter 5 1: Follow the laws of nature

Xue Kan is a worried man. He takes every little thing to heart. On the other hand, the teacher is a free person, who is relaxed and happy every day. He yearned for the teacher's attitude towards life, so he asked the teacher how to be in harmony with Tao and completely follow the natural laws of heaven and earth.

After years of practice, Wang Yangming has reached the state where nothing can touch his heart. Even if flowers and plants interfere with our daily activities, we should get rid of them. If we care too much, they will become a burden on our hearts and interfere with our emotions.

Wang Yangming said that any good or bad is only in your heart and changes with your mind. Scholars in the world yearn for the truth of cosmic life with their own subjective wishes, and divide everything into good and bad, good and evil, which is wrong.

We like good things and hate bad things. This is sincere, not private. Sincerity only follows the way of heaven and earth, and can not be combined with subjective wishes, otherwise the heart can not reach its original correct attitude. Our mood should remain "neutral" at all times. We should always act in accordance with the laws of nature, make our behavior conform to the laws of natural change, and unconsciously implement what we should do to achieve the realm of "doing nothing without doing anything."

Chapter 52: Finding the True Self

Professor Wang Yangming's knowledge will experience a feeling of being integrated with everything in the world, and he likes to give lectures in a quiet atmosphere on a moonlit night, so that students can easily feel everything with their hearts.

Xiao Hui, another disciple of Wang Yangming, got a cough when he was 18 years old. Later, he met a traveling Taoist and asked you to cultivate your mind. His condition is getting better gradually. Later, when I heard about Wang Yangming's psychology, I went to consult him wholeheartedly.

One night, Xiao Hui asked Wang Yangming, if he sat still for many years, what should he do?

Wang Yangming said that people must have a heart for themselves in order to get rid of selfish desires; Only by getting rid of selfish desires and shortcomings can you become your true self.

Xiao Hui said that she was afraid of death and wanted to be a saint beyond life and death. Wang Yangming said that your true self is your heart, not your own body. You only think for yourself in your body, not really for yourself, so you are afraid of death.

Chapter 53: The Key to Self-achievement

Wang Yangming went on to say that the ancients said: see no evil, don't listen to evil, don't say evil, don't move if you are evil. In other words, your heart should examine an external thing, have a certain concentration, and always be in harmony with the Tao, in order to realize the real functions of eyes, ears, nose and limbs and achieve your true self. If we blindly pursue external sensory stimulation, we can't get rid of those unreasonable words and deeds, and we can't make your real heart work. The real essence is the essence that can make a person listen, speak, move and see, that is, an instinctive law of natural things: justice. With the origin, we can produce an endless machine that contains everything in the world: benevolence.

The laws of nature dominate our whole body, which is called: the heart, the ontology of the heart, is originally the law of the universe, which is in harmony with the Tao, and this is the true self of each of us.

With my true self, even without my body, I still exist, and there is no such thing as life and death. Sages only learn for themselves, and people should have another self, hidden in the depths of body and mind. Only by really thinking about the "true self" can this true self realize self-denial. That is, follow what you really want in your heart, rather than being driven by external sensory stimuli.

Chapter 54: Breaking the Death Mark

Xiao Hui then asked what is the way of life and death. Wang Yangming said: knowing the law of day and night, you will understand the mystery of life and death.

Only when a person has cultivated a state of inner peace, feels his every breath and always feels his inner existence, then his heart is clear and clear, and his spirit is free. Only by reaching this state can you understand the supreme virtue of nature and the way of day and night. Wang Yangming means that if a person really wants to reach the bright realm of freedom, he must transcend all selfish distractions and even understand the problem of life and death. Regarding life and death, Wang Yangming's mind is similar to that of Taoism. He is detached and open-minded inside and doesn't care about anything. Superman's wisdom made him transcend the troubles of life and death and reach the realm of "Tao".

Birth, old age, illness and death are natural laws, and they are neither greedy for survival nor afraid of death. The knowledge of conscience is actually to understand the law of heaven and earth: Tao. When you are enlightened, you can transcend time and enter a state of immortality, just as Zhuangzi said.

Chapter 55: The Realm of Sincerity

There is another disciple of Wang Yangming who is quite special. This man is Zhou Ji. He studied Zhu's Shuo Wen Jie Zi in his early years. Later, he heard about Wang Yangming's psychology and was very interested, so he came to ask for advice. Later, it was Zhou Ji who accompanied Wang Yangming through the last journey of his life.

When Zhou Jigang began to study Wang Yangming's mind, he was always careless and felt that he had made little progress. Later, after Wang Yangming's enlightenment, he began to understand Tao and gradually reached the state of apprehension. I studied with Wang Yangming in Nanjing for more than a month and went home.

Chapter 56: Being unmoved is the foundation of success.

Since Wang Yangming took office in Zhengde Nanjing for seven years, he has had a lot of time to cultivate his morality and give lectures because of his idleness. After years of cultivation and physical and mental tempering, his heart became stronger and stronger, reaching the indifferent state advocated by the ancients.

In October of the 11th year of Zheng De, Wang Yangming was promoted to the position of the left supervisor, who was also the governor of southern and Jiangxi provinces. One day, his old friend Wang Siyu came to visit and they met happily.

Since then, after Wang Yangming became the governor of Gannan, voters trained and personally supervised the front line. If an order is given, it will only take one year to pacify the bandits in southern Jiangxi who have been in chaos for decades.

Chapter 57: Hold on in the most difficult time.

In Ganzhou, Wang Yangming took a series of rectification measures to improve the combat effectiveness of local officers and men. In February, Wang Yangming's soldiers besieged the thieves in multiple ways, winning one after another and boosting their morale. However, since then, in Fujian, because of underestimating the enemy, he was defeated and suffered hundreds of casualties.

After getting the information, Wang Yangming began to discuss countermeasures with the soldiers. Wang Yangming's analysis failed because he was too radical and gave the enemy an opportunity. After a period of discussion, Wang Yangming decided to go there in person. Besides, it hasn't rained in the local area for several months. Wang Yangming set up a high platform in the yamen and began to beg for rain. Soon after, the clear sky began to thunder and rain.

All the soldiers were overjoyed and cheered loudly for Wang Yangming.

Chapter 58: The way to fight lies in the heart.

Next, Wang Yangming began to formulate strategies and tactics. In his early years, he studied Sun Tzu's Art of War and studied hard. At the beginning, Wang Yangming released a rumor that he wanted to move troops back to the nest to let the enemy relax their vigilance, but in fact, he had already let the armies lurk and get ready to go. In addition, Wang Yangming sent spies into the enemy camp to find out the truth. Then, after the enemy relaxed his vigilance, Wang Yangming assembled his troops and attacked in three ways. He personally led the troops to attack and became a bandit.

Chapter 59: How is concentration tempered?

After Kou Dajie, Wang Yangming was deified by the local people. Wang Yangming added a mysterious color to his body, and later returned to Ganzhou. In the twelfth year of Zheng De, Wang Yangming was promoted to the position of military affairs governor of Nan and Gan, and was granted a special power by the Minister of War: he could mobilize the chess and cards of soldiers, which was unprecedented in the Ming Dynasty.

Gradually, more and more people came to listen to Wang Yangming's lectures, forming a circle with a strong academic atmosphere in Gannan.

One day, OuYangDe, a scholar, asked his teacher if he could keep a carefree attitude and take his time under any circumstances. Wang Yangming replied that because there is a Tao in his heart, Tao dominates everything in the world. Although everything is ever-changing, the Tao remains unchanged. And this heart is heaven and earth. Everything in the world comes from the heart, and the heart is fixed. Generally, it will continue with the operation of heaven and earth, and it will be natural to handle things with peace of mind.

But not everyone can be enlightened, so when dealing with things, you should hone yourself, don't take anything too seriously, have a mentality of being safe when you come, don't rush for success, exercise your mind, and don't be disturbed by "qi".

Chapter 60: Exploring the Mysteries of Mind and Nature

Among Wang Yangming's many students, Liang Rifu's process of learning from the teacher is very unique and is passed down as a much-told story. He is from Guangdong. Because he is a scholar, he jumped to Ganzhou during his tenure. I know Wang Yangming because I have heard of him for a long time.

After meeting Wang Yangming, Rifu Liang felt that his thoughts were profound and he liked them very much. Later, I simply found an inn in the local area to settle down and asked Wang Yangming for advice. Everyone thought he was stupid and left a good official to do it. This is a good thing that many people dream of. In this way, he studied in Ganzhou for three months before leaving

Wang Yangming said to Rifu Liang, although every grass and tree has its own way, there is no need to look for its reason. First of all, we must strive to cultivate our own mind. Only by realizing one's "initial heart" and experiencing the mystery of its infinity can we realize the essential law of everything in the world.

Rifu Liang asked how to do kung fu on ordinary things.

Wang Yangming: If there is no other way to learn, please rest assured. We must first find the lost heart. Get rid of those bad habits that interfere with yourself. Because of bad habits, we don't feel them at ordinary times, but only when we encounter key stimuli, so we should try our best to overcome these habits.

The essence of the heart is the best and intangible, neither good nor evil. We should be good at looking at things from many aspects, so as to keep this heart neutral. Rifu Liang recalled that he usually works in an anticlimactic way, and he can't accomplish anything good. He can't help feeling that he still has many bad habits. Wang Yangming told him that it is not enough to know in theory, but to understand in practice.

Chapter 61: What is the best state?

Wang Yangming fought everywhere and didn't forget to give lectures to students at the same time. At this time, Wang Yangming's reputation is far from the same. In the thirteenth year of Zheng De, Wang Yangming was promoted to the right deputy governor and magistrate of Douchayuan. It can be said that he is also a general of the imperial court, a general of the imperial court and a military commander. Coupled with Wang Yangming's reputation of giving lectures everywhere, he was quite influential at that time.

Influenced by Confucianism since childhood, and with decades of cultivation, Wang Yangming is graceful in his gestures. Whenever he gives a lecture, the hall is packed, and more and more people come here to listen to the news.

Wang Yangming said that the kung fu of self-cultivation lies only in sincerity. The so-called self-cultivation is to experience and adjust one's mentality in pure and unique sincerity, so that it is in the right position and often makes it clear. This is the right heart. The so-called rightness is to restore one's inner self, cultivate one's morality and cultivate one's character, and to show the wonderful use of one's body and mind.

Chapter 62: Ways to Adjust Emotion

Wang Yangming gives lectures, likes students to ask questions and communicate, and explains patiently every time.

Some students asked him, if we deal with our secular desires, Wang Yangming explained that emotions will make our hearts lose the right mentality to solve problems correctly, so we should be good at transforming emotions, let our inner ontology return to an impartial right state, and let our hearts return to peace.

Some students ask themselves, what if they often have fear, be swayed by considerations of gain and loss, and often regret handling things?

Wang Yangming went on to say that a person's original heart is motionless. When he is quiet, he can feel the ethereal state, not nothing, but an endless motive, which can correspond to Tao. Therefore, when dealing with things, we should always keep a calm temperament.

But also pay attention. Silence is the noumenon of the heart. We seek a quiet root, but we scratch its body. Touching is the wonderful use of the heart. If you are afraid that your heart will move easily, you will waste its use.

Chapter 63: Change Your Temperament

Wang Jingyan, a student of Wang Yangming, is going to work in Daming Mansion. Because I was afraid that I was incompetent, I asked the teacher for advice on being an official before I left.

Wang Yangming said that in officialdom, people's hearts are different, and each has its own interests and positions. Therefore, when dealing with things, we must remain calm, gain insight into various forms, and balance the interests of all parties. Of course, reaching this state is not achieved at a critical moment, and it needs personal practice to slowly hone.

Everything in the world is ever-changing, and there are only four emotions to deal with. Grasping emotions is a way of self-cultivation and learning, and it is also a way of governing the country.

Chapter 64: The human heart has its own wisdom.

Wang Yangming won many victories during his tenure and attacked the city slightly. After returning home, he often travels with students to cultivate his sentiment. One day, he visited Tongtianyan in Ganzhou with other students, during which he began to give lectures and talk with students.

Confucianism emphasizes the understanding of things, that is, it requires a person to jump out of the small circle of self and look at those things outside from another angle. Wang Yangming believes that we should cherish every seemingly insignificant little thing and regard it as an indispensable opportunity to temper ourselves and improve ourselves. Only in this way can the water drop through the stone and pile up like a mountain. One day, I will be open-minded and cover up my true colors.

Chapter 65: Keep the Right Mind.

Lu Jiuchuan, a student of Wang Yangming, asked the teacher how to achieve the state of no distractions in his heart when he visited Tongtianyan. Wang Yangming explained that his inner peace means that he is not tempted, just like a bird flying without leaving a trace. His heart is unmoved by external things, so it is important to keep the correct attitude in his heart. But the idea of fear comes from the inner ontology and is lively and splashing. This is an endless place where the machines of heaven and earth run. The so-called God-given fate has never stopped.

Chapter 66: Know the secret of things.

Wang Yangming explained the essence of mentality and human heart to Lu Jiuchuan, but the students still didn't fully understand it. They ask themselves to be often interrupted by external things when they sit still, and then come back to sit still after they finish their work, but their body and mind are still unable to integrate. Wang Yangming said that students' practical cultivation of understanding things and knowledge is not profound, but their hearts are still tied. A person with a quiet heart will not be disturbed by the outside world at will, seemingly sitting quietly, converging body and mind, but indulging in fantasy at heart.

Wang Yangming threw a stone into the lake, which caused a ripple, but after a while, the water was calm again, as if nothing had happened. Lu Jiuchuan said happily, didn't he say: there is no truth in the mind, and everything changes? The teacher said with a smile, almost.

Wang Yangming went on to say that the sage gave us instructions long ago, but few people cared about it. Everyone has our conscience, which is in our hearts, but ordinary people don't realize it.
