20 18-06-05 on mental peace and physical peace
After I came back from Jionji on May Day, I felt great changes in my heart, so I learned a lot of health knowledge and many different health methods. To sum up, all health preservation methods are inseparable from two points: physical peace and spiritual peace. Every method of keeping in good health starts from a point and goes deep step by step, but in the end, it is necessary to achieve the result of simultaneous physical and mental peace. When practicing any method, we should also combine the two: physical and mental peace; A quieter body and a quieter heart. If you only seek physical peace or spiritual peace, you will find that these so-called methods of working miracles on others will soon encounter bottlenecks on yourself.

It is not a problem that modern people are busy, stressed and have self-pursuit. The problem is that when people are busy, they seldom look at their bodies and minds. As a result of inattention, the body is tired and stretched for a long time, sitting and lying for a long time, and lacks exercise; Irregular, rapid or irregular breathing; Inner anxiety and trouble, easy to get angry and sad. These will slowly wear away the vitality of the body and become weak over time; Cause and effect become one, and e comes and goes.

How to alleviate or even eliminate these physiological and psychological pressures? Here are some health care methods I have contacted, and take one or two of them to talk about how to make myself physically and mentally safe.

The following are some health preservation methods I have learned, which are basically the same from the perspective of body and mind:

Exercise: Wuqinxi (created by Hua Tuo), Guo Lin health exercises, Taiji pilgrimage (don't laugh, Tibetan Buddhists kowtow one step at a time and take the Wan Li Road). This is a way to keep fit and clear the heart. Its body is healthy, its heart is sincere and its mind is calm. I've heard many examples of tens of thousands of times a day, persisting for months to years and finally curing cancer)

Traditional Chinese Medicine: Moxibustion and Acupuncture (dredging human meridians, promoting blood circulation and qi circulation)

Meditation (the method to make the body and mind meditate together): meditation, breathing, four thoughts, yoga meditation.

Peace of mind: pray devoutly, recite the Buddha's name like South Amitabha, recite the six-character Daming mantra, recite the Virgin Mary's Sutra, and learn from Buddhism to view the dharma emptiness.

Others: tea tasting, Chinese painting, calligraphy, music therapy, fishing, breeding flowers and plants.

The etheric pole is an example. The master said that the essence of Tai Chi is not whether the movements are standard, but whether you can relax, feel comfortable and concentrate. When you play Tai Chi, your muscles relax and your breathing is good, even, gentle and long. Only a few muscles feel relaxed in the initial training, and others are still in the usual set, stretching for a long time.

The so-called muscle group means that our muscles are in a state of tension for a long time in daily life. Many muscles in our body are not actively controlled, but unconsciously controlled by the brain. The brain can skillfully tense muscles to complete related actions, but the brain is not necessarily good at relaxing muscles. Instead, it will keep the muscles in a daily fixed state. For example, our hands can be idle most of the time, but often some people will clench their fists even if their hands are idle. Not to mention many lumbar and cervical muscles that we unconsciously control.

What you need is to relax your muscles consciously by practicing Tai Ji Chuan. At the beginning, only some muscles can relax actively. After practicing for a long time, you can feel more and more places to relax. Then, playing Tai Ji Chuan can not only make you feel relaxed, but also relax unnecessary tense muscles consciously or unconsciously in your daily life and work. Finally, we can achieve a state of relaxation everywhere and everywhere. In this state, the body is often in a quiet and natural state and is not easy to get tired. Even if you feel tired, you can recover quickly. If there is a disease, it is easier for the body to mobilize its healing ability to resist the evil forces in a relaxed state. In this way, the master has helped many people to cure all kinds of strange internal diseases (endocrine, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, lumbar intervertebral disc, cancer, Sjogren's disease) that the hospital can't cure. . . )

The above is easy to understand, even if you haven't experienced it, it makes sense to listen. But peace of mind is not so easy to understand.

We often watch a lot of chicken soup, and from time to time we are advised to forget it, put it down, put it down. Teacher Ma also said on 5 10 that the best algorithm for marriage is to forget it. Forget it, okay? Can we really forget? My husband secretly gave his ex-wife 200 thousand behind my back. Do you think I should forget it? ! A certain part of the body has been a little painful, as if it had been poked by a needle. You told me not to be sad. Put it down? This year's performance was badly evaluated, but the leader SB didn't know anything, which was related to my great future and family happiness. Why don't you just call me? Sorry, I really can't do it.

It's not impossible, but there's no way to find it. There are ways to let your heart go, and these methods are not chicken soup, they are systematic and complete. Anyone who follows these methods can tide over the difficulties.

Let the body calm down and practice, and then let the heart calm down and practice. Training the mind is a pure thinking process, a bit like learning cultural knowledge. From counting in kindergarten to studying calculus and linear algebra in university, the whole process is a process of brain thinking. The method of practicing meditation is also from learning "counting" to finally learning "calculus linear algebra".

Whenever I talk about this topic, I feel a little embarrassed and don't know where to start. We have been studying mathematics since childhood, so we will know how to study calculus when we go to college. But as far as mental training is concerned, most of us have just graduated from kindergarten. How can we learn to practice "calculus" in our hearts? This topic is very big, with many contents and sects, and it is worth writing a series of articles to elaborate.

Meditation, meditation and learning Buddha all belong to this category. Although it takes a lot of effort to go deeper, beginners can feel remarkable results as long as they work hard. I am a good example myself. In the process of practicing these methods by myself, although I haven't practiced for a long time, I have achieved great peace of mind and body, and my previous depression and anxiety have been greatly alleviated, and I will continue to improve, especially the problem of insomnia has almost disappeared, and I no longer need to rely on psychotropic drugs such as diazepam.

We can't let go of our greed. If the performance is badly criticized, you can try to justify it, but at least don't get angry and make your body suffer; In addition, it is greedy for money and selfish. If you are not greedy, you will not be angry. But not being greedy doesn't mean not fighting, but you still have to fight, that is, don't get angry or hurt yourself. Well, I understand why, but I still can't do it. Therefore, we should always keep a conscious heart in our life, always practice observing the changes in our hearts, the ups and downs of our thoughts, and always observe whether we have anger, greed, compassion and charity. Over time, that conscious heart can help us control our emotions. I didn't feel angry all day at first (so I made up with my wife). Slowly, you can feel angry more quickly, from one day to one hour and one minute, even the last angry thoughts can be put out together, or even never get angry.

Therefore, one way to practice the mind is to always be aware of whether breathing is disturbed, whether emotions fluctuate, and whether thoughts are flying all over the sky. If it flies, take it back. How to get it back is to be aware of the present, eat when you eat, walk when you leave, chant when you chant, and worship when you worship. If you don't eat well when you eat, and you are still thinking about what to do when you work, then you can't feel at ease when you eat, and you can't be quiet inside.

Buddhism has a set of theories, that is, it is necessary to observe that the five aggregates are empty, the actions are impermanent, and the dharma is empty. We should realize that everything we pursue is empty and impermanent, so that we will not be insatiable and ask for trouble. Why everything is impermanent is explained in detail in many Buddhist scriptures. Buddhist scriptures also say that all living beings are suffering, they can't get suffering, they are afraid of losing suffering when they get it, and they lose suffering when they get it. To put it bluntly, for example, money is a good thing, but people who have no money can't earn it. Being rich is afraid of becoming poor (this is probably the anxiety of the middle class), and it will become more bitter from being rich to having no money, no matter whether you have money or not. But money is just a string of numbers, which you can't bring when you are alive or when you are dead; The so-called dignity, success and honor are just what others call themselves, which leads to changes in their emotional feelings; Food also changes the feeling of the tongue a little. It's the same when you eat it in your stomach. Eating too much will also cause gastrointestinal discomfort and metabolic pressure of liver and kidney (so Buddhism pursues vegetarianism, and eating buffet is a waste to its own body); The house price is too high, the house is too small and life is too inconvenient. These complaints are actually bitter in heart. All the pains are the pains in my heart, just a feeling in my heart. So, it's all empty. Since it is empty, it doesn't matter whether it is there, whether it is rich or not, and whether it is painful or not. (This is a Buddhist theory, and I know you can't stand it any more ...) In the Heart Sutra, it is said that to break the six karma, see through life and death, and free yourself from the six divisions of the wheel of karma, this should be the ultimate in peace of mind.

To sum up, the way to practice is to observe your own heart, be aware of the present, observe the emptiness of all laws, and be kind to others (so Teacher Ma encourages us to do public welfare, while Buddhists encourage doing nothing (wèi) to give). These methods need to be consolidated from time to time, just like doing exercises, and gradually the heart changes.

Both body and mind are indispensable, just like people's two legs, you can't walk on one leg. If the heart is not quiet, the body cannot be quiet; The body is not quiet, and the heart can't calm down.

Although Tai Chi is played, the most direct thing is to calm down. But in the process of calming down, we should also feel the feeling of peace of mind, so Tai Chi is also a spiritual practice.

Buddhism says that we should put aside delusion and self-attachment. In the process of practice, the most important method of practice is meditation. Therefore, the main purpose of practice is to cultivate one's mind, but at the same time it is also to cultivate one's self-cultivation and cultivate one's peace of mind.

We are very busy, how can we have so much time to practice health? In particular, there are still many life values to be realized. What's the point of being a man if you don't do anything?

Indeed, it takes a lot of time to practice these methods at first. But these methods should be part of our way of life, rather than taking time to practice. For example, playing Tai Chi to relax. Besides playing Tai Chi, you should also relax while eating. At the beginning, you need to concentrate on practicing Tai Ji Chuan, feel the feeling of physical relaxation, and gradually grasp this feeling of relaxation in your daily life, so that you don't have to spend time playing Tai Chi gradually.

For the same mental adjustment, it takes some time to observe our hearts at first, learn the methods of awareness, and spend a lot of time in meditation. Slowly turn awareness into a habit, observe your breathing anytime and anywhere, and be aware of the present. When these peace of mind become a part of ourselves, it will bring us great benefits. There will be no more worries about yourself, no more depression, anxiety and insomnia; People around us will think that we are peaceful, easy to communicate, willing to be friends with us and willing to help each other.

There are different levels of quietness, and different people need different methods.

Similarly, to be quiet, Tai Chi means to be quiet while moving, and meditation means to be quiet while not moving. However, if someone can't sit still during meditation and always feels uncomfortable and his thoughts wander, then he may not be suitable for meditation for the time being (the fundamental reason is that his heart is not calm, so his body is not calm). Learn Buddhism first, and it is more appropriate to play Tai Chi.

The same is true of peace of mind, which can make the body relax, stop thinking and stop breathing. There is also a saying that when the dominant thoughts stop, there may be subtle thoughts in the depths of the brain. At this time, some people will see the light and see their own soul out of body experience, because it has never been so quiet, so they have never seen it. So I will hear someone say that he saw the immortal bodhisattva while meditating! A little quieter, that is, even these subtle thoughts are gone. It's really empty and nothing. Ordinary people practice Zen until the dominant thought stops, breathing slowly or even stops. The latter realm is mostly pursued by monks, ascetics and other dedicated practitioners.

Finally, I wish all monks, Taoist friends, boxing friends, tea friends and so on. Continue to adhere to the road of health preservation and maintain a state of physical and mental safety at every moment of life. Make your body healthier, your career smoother, your marriage happier and your family more harmonious.
