Xixia County is a county under the jurisdiction of Nanyang City, Henan Province. It is located in the southwest of Henan Province, at the southern foot of Funiu Mountain, bordering Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province in the west, Sanmenxia City and Luoyang City in the north, Neixiang City in the east and Xichuan City in the south. It is the second regional county in Henan Province.
Xixia is the birthplace of Chongyang culture in China. 5000 years ago, there were communities in Xixia. In the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, it was a territory of Guruoguo and was set as White City. From 524 BC to 506 BC, it was the capital of many countries, and it was a county in the Qin Dynasty. Xixia Town was established in the late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China, and Xixia County was formally established in 1948.
