Liu Taiyi's Talk about Health Preservation is actually about how to treat diseases. This paper tells the story of Chun Liu, the ancestor of Liu Hongzhang, a physician in the Ming Dynasty, who tried to become a doctor in prison in accordance with the wishes of Xu Yihua, the Yongle Queen who died of breast cancer.
The real doctor Liu was from the Ming Dynasty. As Liu Hongzhang claimed to be a descendant of Chun Liu and the author of this book, the word "Liu Taiyi" now refers to Mr. Liu Hongzhang.
According to the records in the book, after more than two years of intense discussion, Chun Liu and the medical officials finally divided 2 175 diseases discovered in the past two thousand years into 16 syndrome groups according to their symptoms, and referred to the pathogenesis of 19 in Neijing. Prior to this, Puji Fang collected 1960 arguments, 2 175 diseases, 778 syndrome groups and 6 1739 prescriptions. A medical masterpiece that seems to be masked is actually just a list of questions, which can only make beginners confused; Can't guide clinical work.
Chun Liu spent more than two years organizing medical officials to discuss, determined the syndrome group of 16, and made clear the research direction. Because many people don't want to eat after they get sick, they starve themselves to death; Therefore, it is necessary to study how to make patients want to eat and what kind of food to eat. Therefore, in addition to 16 syndrome group, two more problems should be added: nourishing stomach qi and diet therapy. So we should study the problem of 18.

The basis of treatment is seven-point nutrition. The specific method of seven-point nutrition is to drink 100 grams of hawthorn and 50 grams of radix aucklandiae as the main materials to improve stomach qi, and to eat coarse grains instead of flour and rice oil in combination with the diet method of drinking broth and juice.

The Boundary of Life: A Case Study of China Taiyi's Self-treatment (Liu Taiyi's investigation) is an interview report on the effectiveness of Liu Taiyi's "three-point treatment and seven-point support". Chun Liu studied the toxicity and medicinal properties of more than 5,000 kinds of drugs and foods through drug experiments on prisoners, and came to an amazing conclusion: Chinese medicine is not a big treasure house, but a big grocery store, which is full of a lot of poisons and ineffective drugs. Liu Taiyi divided 56 1 1 herbs into six categories. Among them, acute drug 132, chronic drug 9 1 1, inactive drug 565, weak drug 3559 and available drug 301; This is the famous and mysterious blacklist of cure too much in the history of China.
Nowadays, many people regard the phrase "three drugs are toxic" as an inevitable excuse for taking medicine poisoning. After many pharmaceutical companies know that drugs harm people, they easily defend themselves by saying that "drugs are toxic in three ways"; It seems that taking medicine must be poisoning. However, this is not the case! Because "three-point poison" doesn't mean that.
So what did the ancients mean when they said "three-point poison"? This was said by Chun Liu, a doctor of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, on 1475. His original words in Addiction to Drug Rehabilitation are: "This is a drug with three poisons. Only appetizers are non-toxic. Cover appetizing and detoxifying. " What does this sentence mean? This is because he stressed that when preparing Chinese patent medicines, even if non-toxic medicinal materials are used, they are toxic to some extent; Only appetizing herbs are non-toxic; Therefore, to prepare any Chinese patent medicine, appetizing herbs should be added.
Do you understand? Chun Liu's medicine refers to non-toxic medicinal materials, that is to say, even non-toxic medicinal materials have three toxicity; As for poisonous medicinal materials, they are not for people to eat at all, and they cannot be called medicine. This is just like sewage can't be called tap water, rotten wood can't be called wood, and rice can't be called grain.
Why are non-toxic medicinal materials also toxic? Chun Liu also said in the appendix of "Methods of Treating Diseases with Drugs": "Drugs can eliminate diseases. Non-parenting. An old friend can't eat it. It is called three-point poison. " That is to say, because drugs are not air, water and food necessary for human survival, they are only used to overcome diseases; It is precisely because drugs are not essential substances for human survival that they are bound to be rejected by the human body. The rejection is about to have an abnormal reaction, and all the rejection reactions caused by it are called toxicity; This is the so-called "three-point poison of medicine".

After the publication of Liu Hongzhang's book, it caused great controversy. There are many doubts about people's family background, experience, trichotomy and seven branches. Especially in 2007, Hu Meijuan, Li Jianchang and Zhang Xiaohui from Tianjin Branch of Xinhua News Agency "investigated" Liu Hongzhang's identity, education and experience through unannounced visits, and described Liu Hongzhang as a "big liar". This kind of "investigation" is a deep subjective prejudice. The whole article makes a big fuss about the background, experience and education of "Liu Taiyi" without actual evidence, and does not interview an actual patient. As a unified publication of Xinhua News Agency, its report is widely reported in China.
Since 2006, the US Food and Drug Administration in Tanggu District of Tianjin has identified Liu Hongzhang's drugs as "counterfeit drugs". After more than two years of investigation, dozens of evidences of Liu Hongzhang's drug trafficking were found and submitted to the procuratorate for the crime of manufacturing and selling counterfeit drugs. In June 2008165438+1October 65438+April, Mr. Liu Hongzhang was arrested by the Tanggu District Procuratorate of Tianjin.
After investigation, the procuratorate was surprised to find that so many people have cured incurable diseases including cancer, hypertension and diabetes. Through the health care of too many doctors, it is difficult for relevant personnel to ride a tiger. The original charge was "manufacturing and selling counterfeit drugs". Later, there was no way but to change it to "illegal business". On May 20, 2009, the case of Liu Hongzhang finally opened. Ironically, the US Food and Drug Administration in Tianjin, which filed the case, did not dare to send anyone to attend the trial. Xinhua news agency, which has been paying attention to the development of this case, dare not send anyone to attend.
The defense lawyer submitted a lot of evidence, which proved that Mr. Liu Hongzhang's method was effective and his experience was true. Three healthy beneficiaries testified in court. Prosecutors and judges confirmed all the evidence.
Due to the vacancy and imperfection of Chinese medicine laws and regulations, Liu Hongzhang became an "illegal businessman" and worried about saving people.
