? Animal fat can be used to make portable fuel.
Health Guide: Outdoor activities generally need to bring a certain amount of fuel in case of emergency. In the case of high fuel consumption, cost is the key reference standard for selecting fuel. According to the combustion characteristics of oil, a low-cost method for producing animal oil is introduced.

First, make low-cost portable fuel raw materials.

1, fish viscera.

Fish stalls in the vegetable market are a source of raw materials that cannot be missed. Nowadays, fish are generally fattened by feed, so a lot of fat is attached to their stomachs, and even their internal organs are covered with fat. Fish has small internal organs, and fish oil has a fishy smell. Therefore, after killing fish, many people don't want to clean the intestines and fry the fat to get oil like chickens, ducks, pigs, cattle and sheep, but throw away the fish's internal organs and fat blocks in their stomachs. Some fish stall owners will sell fish guts to others very cheaply, and they can take them away for one or two dollars, or even take them away for free, as a way to help them clean up their garbage. In order to collect a lot of materials, choose a booth that kills a lot of fish every day, and you can give the stall owner a few dollars to help them collect them every day.

2, chicken and duck viscera.

Nowadays, almost all live birds are fattened by feed, so they have a lot of fat. In some places, there are stalls for slaughtering live birds on the spot. These stalls will produce a lot of internal organs such as chicken intestines and duck intestines, which are attached with a lot of fat. Many stall owners will throw these things away as garbage or sell them to aquaculture owners very cheaply. We can go to these places to get it for free or buy it at a low price.

3. Fat pork.

Generally speaking, the above two methods are the most common sources of low-cost raw materials. In principle, except for other animal adipose tissues, all adipose animal tissues are not easy to find cheaply. If there is a way to get free or cheap fat pork, it is also a source of raw materials.

4, swill.

Leftovers in hotels and restaurants are also rich in fat, which is also one of the sources of fat. However, swill contains all kinds of sauces and other substances, which need complicated processes such as washing, so it is impossible to simply extract oil. Otherwise, the obtained fat will have a strong smell when burned. In addition, some scraps contain little oil and have no processing value. Therefore, DIYer, who has no knowledge of oil purification, does not recommend using swill.

2. Steps of manufacturing low-cost portable fuel.

1. After preparing enough raw materials, prepare a cauldron. Pour all kinds of animal viscera rich in oil into the pot, then add water to boil, and the volume ratio of water to animal tissues is 1: 1. Boil until the adipose tissue is completely melted, then cease fire and let it cool for about half an hour. Then scoop out the upper oil with a spoon and put it in a container. Pay attention to spoon slowly, and don't spoon in the bottom residue. It doesn't matter even if you scoop in some soup.

2. The crude oil refined in the last step still needs to remove impurities and moisture. The simple way is to wash it with water and treat it at low temperature. Add twice the volume of water into the container filled with crude oil, then keep stirring for about 15 minutes, then let it stand and continue to cool, and put it into the fresh-keeping room of the refrigerator to allow the fat to solidify, and control the temperature of the refrigerator to prevent the water from freezing. Standing directly in winter can solidify the fat. In summer, if the container can't be put into the refrigerator, you can also make some ice cubes, add ice cubes to the container, or solidify the fat. After the fat is solidified, spoon the fat into another empty container with a sealed cover, and then carry this container with you when you are outdoors.

3. find a metal container, such as an iron box, with a lid, not too big, easy to carry, and use it to burn a fire.

4. Find some plant ash, preferably bamboo ash. Fill the iron box with sawdust. If there is no plant ash, you can also use cotton or cotton cloth instead of plant ash as kindling material and fill it with iron boxes.

Generally, it is not necessary to inject oil into the iron box in advance. When in use, the fat made above is poured through the plant ash in the iron box, and then lit with a match. After burning all the oil in the combustion process, you can also "add fuel to the fire". To put out the fire, just cover it. It should be noted that if it is winter, animal fat will solidify. Therefore, it must be poured once before the first use, and it must be refueled once after each ignition to prevent the oil from solidifying and not pouring through the fire.
