What exactly is Tai Sui?
Taisui —name of a hypothetical planet which travels opposite to Jupiter. Ancient Chinese people took its period of revolution as reference to number years.

Tai sui, also known as meat ganoderma lucidum. Li Shizhen's Compendium of Materia Medica records Ganoderma lucidum, which is classified as "Ganoderma lucidum" in the Department of Vegetables. Edible and medicinal, it is regarded as "the top grade of this classic" and has the effect of "strengthening the body and prolonging life after long-term eating".

According to Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica, "Ganoderma lucidum is non-toxic, nourishing, benefiting essence and qi, increasing wisdom, curing the knot in the chest and strengthening the body for a long time."

Shan Hai Jing called it "seeing meat", "gathering meat", "letting the old age" and "sealing", which was a delicious health care for ancient emperors. Tai sui is very rare and is the top grade of all kinds of medicinal materials. It is recorded in ancient books that Tai Sui is flat, bitter and non-toxic, and has the value of invigorating spleen, moistening lung, tonifying kidney and benefiting liver.

Modern scientists believe that Tai Sui is a large myxomycete complex, but why its cell structure is formed and why it converges into such a regular shape, and its medical value is still a mystery.

Compendium of Materia Medica records: "Meat and cheese are like meat. Attached to a big stone, it has a head and a tail, and it is a creature. Red is like coral, white is like fat, black is like paint, green is like jade feathers, and yellow is like purple and gold, all bright as ice. " Ge Hong, a Taoist priest in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, recorded in Bao Puzi that "Zhi Zhu's broken powder, or water, makes people intellectually fit and live forever." It is an elixir that the ancients thought was immortal.

In the vicissitudes of billions of years, many species have been annihilated and extinct, but Tai Sui can still reproduce to this day, which shows its strong vitality. It grows in an anaerobic environment 20- 100 meters underground, lives in soil and depends on water, so it will not rot and deteriorate in water.

At the same time, this slime mold mainly depends on spores and hyphae, which is very active and can be cut and regenerated at will. However, it is by no means the endless growth of everyone's legend. If it can grow rapidly, it will not be rare.
