Evil Flowers is a condemnation novel by Jin Songcen and Ceng Pu in Qing Dynasty. The book has 35 chapters, which was first published in Jiangsu Magazine in the 29th year of Guangxu (1903), and was later written by Ceng Pu around 1928. The novel shows the historical changes of social, political and cultural life in China from the early years of Tongzhi to the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895. The most concentrated and successful pen and ink in the book is the depiction of feudal intellectuals and bureaucrats, which highlights hypocrisy and incompetence.
