Confucius said in the Analects of Confucius: "Words without deeds, faithfulness and antiquity, stealing is not as good as my old Peng." Confucius took Peng Zu as a metaphor, saying that there was nothing wrong with his preaching of the sage's way. His belief in and love for ancient culture also reflected Confucius' admiration for Peng Zu.
Liezi, a representative of Taoism, said in Liezi: "Peng Zu's wisdom is not above Yao and Shun, but he lived for 800 years."
Qu Principle, a patriotic poet of Chu, mentioned Peng Zu's dietotherapy art, and said in "Songs of Chu": "Where is the pleasure of the emperor when Peng Keng pours pheasants?" How long can my husband last? "Qu Yuan praised Peng Zu's cooking and health preservation here.
China's first biographical history, Historical Records, was recorded in Historical Records. Chu family: "Peng Zu's family tasted like Hou Bo in the Yin Dynasty, and Peng Zu's family was destroyed in the late Yin Dynasty. In addition, there are records about the country in Historical Records, saying that Peng Zu himself was sealed by Emperor Yao in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and established the country.
"Han Shu Gu Ren Biao" said: "Princess Luzhong gave birth to six children: one is Kunwu, the other is Shenhu, and the third is Peng Zu ..." It can be seen that Peng Zu has six brothers, ranking third.
Peng Zu's surname is Qiang, later named (now Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province), also known as Peng Keng. People often call him Peng Zu. He is the eighth generation descendant of Xuanyuan clan of Huangdi and the great-grandson of Levin clan of Zhuan Xu. Peng Zu experienced Yao, Shun, Xia and Shang Dynasties, and died at the age of 800, which is a very incredible thing for ordinary people. Another way of saying this is that people think that Peng Zu lived for more than 800 years because the Great Peng Kingdom lasted for about 800 years.
Legend has it that Peng Zu was born in the era of Emperor Yao, his father's name was Lu Zhong, and his mother was Nuwa, a ghost country. The girl was pregnant for three years and gave birth to Peng Zu on June 6th.
Peng Zu was indifferent since childhood, not interested in worldly fame and fortune, but interested in all kinds of Taoism. Another stunt of Peng Zu is his mastery of cooking, especially the preparation of delicious "wild chicken soup", namely wild chicken soup. Later, Peng Zu dedicated the carefully boiled wild chicken soup to Emperor Yao, who greatly appreciated it, so he sealed Peng Zu in Dapeng country, which is today Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Peng Zu's name comes from his big Pengzhou, and Xuzhou is still called Pengcheng.
In the era of Shun Di, Peng Zu abandoned his official position and went home to study Taoism under Yin Shouzi. After being inspired, Peng Zu and his two sons, Wu Peng and Peng Yi, lived in seclusion in Wuyishan, hence the name of Wuyishan. Peng Zu sometimes travels around, never riding a horse and taking no food. Each trip ranges from tens of days to several years. It is difficult for one to know the whereabouts of Peng Zu.
Later, in the era of Shang Zhouwang, Peng Zu was over 800 years old (767 years old), but Peng Zu still couldn't see the appearance of aging. He is not deaf, blind, hunched, and has no pain in his waist and legs. By this time, Peng Zu had married forty-nine wives and gave birth to fifty-four sons, all of whom had died of old age. Shang Zhouwang has long admired Peng Zu's name, so he wants to invite him to be a doctor in North Korea. After several entreaties from Shang Zhouwang, Peng Zu could not refuse and had to come to North Korea. Unexpectedly, Peng Zu often refused to go to court, listen to politics and participate in any secular affairs on the grounds of illness. There is no way to seal the king, so we can only pretend that we don't know these behaviors of Peng Zu. Later, Peng Zu resigned and traveled far, and no one ever saw him again.
In the long history of the development of Chinese civilization for thousands of years, there are countless methods of TCM health preservation. Peng Zu not only created a variety of methods, but also put them into practice, becoming the most famous ancestor in the cultural history of China. Later, his disciples compiled Peng Zu's various health preserving techniques into a health preserving masterpiece, Peng Zu Health Preserving Classic (later lost). Fundamentally speaking, various health preserving techniques in Peng Zu, such as introduction, nursed back to health, dietotherapy and sexual intercourse, are all common traditional health preserving techniques, which can regulate people's physical and mental health from different aspects.
Peng Zu's regimen mainly has the following characteristics:
Modern people all know the truth that "life lies in exercise", which is the conclusion we have drawn by using modern technology. Peng Zu understood the truth thousands of years ago and applied it to health preservation, with good results. Peng Zu attached importance to the technique of gentle guidance. If you sit up after getting up every morning, rub your eyes, rub your face, put your tongue on the palate, swallow body fluid, stay in the abdomen, take a deep breath, stretch Xiong Huang bird, and get lucky.
Peng Zu's practice method is the same as that of later Taoists, and he thinks that keeping a quiet and peaceful state of mind is conducive to longevity. Peng Zu himself never cared about the gain and loss of fame, seeking neither fame nor material enjoyment. Although Peng Zu also worked as an official for a period of time, he soon abandoned his official position and swam away. Once you get the money, you often use it to help the poor and never enjoy it yourself.
Peng Zu himself attached great importance to the principle of conforming to nature and respecting the principle of harmony between man and nature. In winter, we should pay attention to cultivating our minds to keep warm, and in summer, we should calm down and enjoy the cool, so that our bodies can keep pace with nature at all times.
After all, people are not immortals. When people live in the world, they always have certain desires. This is what eat drink man woman said. Different from Taoist schools with strict abstinence, such as Quanzhen Taoism, Peng Zu believes that only by conforming to nature and following the laws of nature can we achieve the goal of longevity.
In real life, it is often not easy to spend a lot of time on "health preservation" for a long time. The health bath in daily life is not the case. Walking, living, sitting and lying are the best moments for health. Don't deliberately keep in good health, keep in good health. This is the highest state of health preservation and the secret of Peng Zu's longevity.
