The tropical region has the characteristics of small temperature change and summer all year round, and the annual average temperature is above 22 ~ 26℃. Because of the hot climate and abundant rainfall, it is suitable for plants to grow all year round, and plants of all sizes can find places suitable for their survival and reproduction here. In tropical forests, trees grow layer by layer, and there are shrubs under the big trees and grass under the shrubs, which overlap each other, making use of almost every inch of nature's space.

Climbing plants in tropical forests are extremely rich, especially some lianas winding around dense trees and crossing the forest. The environment with high temperature and high humidity is most suitable for the growth of epiphytic plants, such as epiphytic orchids, bird's nest ferns and various mosses and lichens, which grow everywhere on trunks and branches. You can also see the wonders of "trees grow on trees and grass grows on leaves". According to statistics, there are as many as 15 epiphytes on a tree.

Tropical plant resources are extremely rich, except the famous coffee, cocoa, oil palm, rubber tree and other important cash crops. It is also rich in precious medicinal materials such as Sanqi and Rauvolfia. In terms of fruits, there are tropical fruits such as bananas, pineapples, coconuts, lychees, lemons and mangoes. Yunnan, China is known as the "plant kingdom", while Xishuangbanna tropical forest in southern Yunnan can be said to be the pearl of the plant kingdom. Other tropical forests like Hainan Province are also green treasures of the motherland.
