Chinese medicine believes that the spleen belongs to the soil, and it likes dryness and hates dampness. However, the hot and humid climate in summer and people's excessive thirst for cold caused by summer vacation, irregular diet and life, and mental and emotional factors. It is easy to cause dampness and evil to trap the spleen, affect spleen transport and transformation, and cause gastrointestinal discomfort.
So from the perspective of Chinese medicine, how should we know them? What problems will they cause to our stomach? How to recuperate and maintain?
First, investigate the reasons?
Exogenous pathogenic factors: refers to the pathogenic factors of six evils that hurt people and cause gastrointestinal dysfunction, all of which can cause diarrhea, but in summer, "wet evil" is the main factor, often accompanied by cold, heat and diarrhea.
Dietary injury: the spleen and stomach are the officials of the granary and the stomach is the politics of the water valley. Anyone who overeats, or overeating is fat and sweet, has damp heat, or is cold, and cold foods encounter resistance; Or eating rotten and unclean things by mistake can cause imbalance of spleen and stomach transport and lead to diarrhea.
Emotional imbalance: depression and anger hurt the liver, and the liver loses the function of relieving diarrhea, and the wood crosses the soil, the spleen and stomach are inhibited, the transport and transformation are abnormal, or the spleen is blocked, and Shui Gu is abnormal, and it becomes diarrhea when it enters the intestine.
Spleen and stomach weakness: spleen governs transport and transformation, and stomach governs reception. If you have an eating disorder for a long time, you will be weak in the spleen and stomach, unable to take food and clear your breath, and the dregs of Shui Gu will mix down, leading to diarrhea.
Second, dampness in midsummer hurts the spleen and stomach
1, diarrhea type
Cold-dampness block type: the symptoms are vomiting, nausea, diarrhea such as water, abdominal pain, bowel sounds accompanied by chills and fever.
This is due to greed for cold, which leads to dampness entering the body, and the spleen is trapped by cold and dampness, mostly due to cold and dampness block.
Gastrointestinal damp-heat: sudden onset, often nausea, vomiting, acid swallowing, sudden abdominal pain, diarrhea, unpleasant stool, yellow-brown stool color and more smelly than usual.
This reason may be caused by exogenous damp-heat evil eating spicy, greasy, sweet food, or drinking.
Spleen and stomach weakness: Usually the spleen and stomach are weak. If you are not careful, you will vomit and diarrhea, have loose stools, spit clean water, take a rest from time to time, look dull and feel tired and weak.
It can be caused by factors such as diet, congenital deficiency of spleen and stomach, overwork, excessive thinking, old age and infirmity, and initial recovery from serious illness.
2, loss of appetite
If you have abdominal pain, bowel sounds, diarrhea, abdominal distension and pain, you don't think about eating, which is what we usually call "loss of appetite". Most of them are due to unclean diet and stagnant moisture in the body, and most of them are "food stagnation in the stomach".
Third, regulate the spleen and stomach.
1, coix seed and red bean soup
Ingredients: Coix seed, adzuki bean, rock sugar.

When the humidity is severe in summer, you can eat more bitter foods to relieve summer heat and promote diuresis, strengthen the spleen and protect the stomach, and pay attention to avoid eating too many cold products, especially all kinds of cold drinks and iced foods. The food just taken out of the refrigerator should be dried for a while or heated before eating; Eat a light diet and less fat. In a humid environment, you can eat some spicy food properly, which has the effect of eliminating dampness.
Try to eat less supper, mutton skewers and cold beer at night, which are the sources of cold evil; It is easy to sweat in summer, and the electrolyte in the human body is lost quickly. Eat more foods with high potassium content, such as peaches, bananas, spinach, potatoes, green onions, celery, strawberries, edamame, kelp and eggs.
