Light. Com: Who needs to pay attention to the screening of kidney diseases every year?

Liu Weijing: In some big cities in our country, chronic kidney diseases caused by metabolic diseases have ranked first, such as diabetic kidney diseases, which usually appear five years after patients suffer from diabetes. Such people should pay attention to screening microalbuminuria at that time, especially to check the creatinine ratio and urine routine of microalbuminuria.

Second, there are more and more patients with hypertension. If such people have symptoms of increasing the number of times of getting up at night and mild edema, or increasing urine foam, they must also pay attention to check whether there is chronic kidney disease, that is, first draw blood to check creatinine and urea nitrogen. At the same time, we should also check the color Doppler ultrasound and total urine protein of the kidney, as well as the function of renal tubules.

The third kind of people are patients with primary glomerular disease. At present, the incidence of primary glomerular diseases in China is very high. In addition, if there is foam urine and edema, especially edema of eyelids and lower limbs, even if it is very slight edema, we should pay attention to whether there is chronic kidney disease.

Light. Com: What are the misunderstandings of nourishing and protecting kidney in daily life?

Liu Weijing: Many patients come to nephrology. The first department to see a doctor is cardiovascular department. This is because he usually finds that his blood pressure is high, but after seeing the cardiovascular system, the doctor will tell you to go to the nephrology department, so it also shows that one of the manifestations of many kidney diseases is hypertension. We must pay attention to the relationship between hypertension and kidney diseases, which are mutually causal. Kidney disease can lead to high blood pressure, which in turn leads to kidney damage.

Why do you say that? Because the kidney is a very important excretory organ in our body, it mainly excretes some of our metabolic wastes and excess water. If there is something wrong with the kidney, it will affect blood pressure, such as circulating blood volume. Another is that the kidney is a very important endocrine organ, which will affect the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system and lead to hypertension. Therefore, if you have high blood pressure, you should check whether there is any problem with your kidneys.

The second is for patients who already have chronic kidney disease. After suffering from kidney disease, the doctor will remind you to eat a high-quality protein diet with low salt and protein, so some patients don't eat any protein as soon as they listen to low protein intake, which is incorrect. Low protein refers to the intake of 0.5g protein per kilogram of body weight. For example, a person weighing 60 kilograms must ensure that he consumes 30 grams of protein every day. Then the recommended intake types of protein mainly include eggs, milk, lean meat, fish and tofu. There is also salt intake. We suggest that the intake of low salt should be controlled between 3g and 6g to reduce the burden on the kidneys.
