This school is a traditional sports school, and it occupies a leading position in the city in terms of hardware construction and teachers. Approved by Hefei Education Bureau and reported to the Provincial Department of Education, it was decided that from 2004 onwards, the school would recruit students with sports specialties to attract and cultivate students with sports specialties, and the students with sports specialties were running well. In 2004, in Hefei Middle School Sports Meeting, Luo Xiumei won the first place in high school women's 100 meter and 400 meter with excellent results. Our school has achieved excellent results in middle school students' radio exercises and various ball games. Since 2006, the school sports characteristic class has been enrolled into two classes, and the reform and attempt of diversified running schools have been continued. In the comprehensive evaluation of high school teaching quality in Hefei and the comprehensive evaluation of improving teaching quality in a large area, the school won the first, second and third prizes in the city for nine consecutive years from 1997.
