Where does five-color health care come from?
Five natures: wood, fire, earth, gold and water.

There are four seasons: spring, summer, long summer, autumn and winter.

There are five sides: southeast, middle and northwest.

Match the five internal organs: liver, heart, spleen, lung and kidney.

Five flavors: sour, bitter, sweet and salty.

Five colors: cyan, red, yellow, white and black.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, green enters the liver, red enters the heart, yellow enters the spleen, white enters the lung and black enters the kidney.

The color of the heart is red, which belongs to summer, so red food nourishes the heart and enters the blood, and also has the function of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. Especially in summer, nourishing the heart is more important. We should eat more red foods, such as hawthorn (red fruit), tomatoes, red apples, red peaches, radishes and red peppers.

Kidney color is dark, which belongs to winter, so black food is beneficial to the anti-aging effect of kidney. Especially in winter, it is necessary to raise kidneys. Therefore, in winter, we should eat more black food such as black mulberry, black sesame, black rice, black beans, Polygonum multiflorum Thunb, and raw land.

The lungs are white, which belongs to autumn, so white food has the function of tonifying the lungs. Therefore, you should eat more white food in autumn, such as ginkgo, Pak Lei, white peach, white almond, lily and autumn pear cream.

The color of the spleen is yellow, which can be raised all year round, so yellow food can replenish the spleen. Especially in the long summer and the last18th day of each season, we should eat more yellow food such as yam, potato, yellow rice and corn.

The liver is cyan and green, so cyan food supplements the liver. Especially in spring, we should eat more green food, such as green bamboo shoots, vegetables, green beans and spinach.
