Guzhen County, belonging to Bengbu City, Anhui Province, is located in the northeast of Anhui Province and on the north bank of the middle reaches of Huaihe River. The terrain is inclined plain, which is in the transition zone between subtropical zone and warm temperate zone; Total area 1363 km2.
It is located between 3310 ′ ~ 33 30 ′ north latitude and117 02 ′ ~17 36 ′ east longitude. It borders Hefei River in the south, Bengbu suburb in the north, Tuohe River in the north, Lingbi County in the east, Wuhe County and Huaiyuan County in the southwest and Yongqiao District in Suzhou City in the northwest. Influenced by the Yellow River flood, Guzhen County has formed the fluvo-aquic soil type. The yellow water in Hejian Plain is seriously flooded, and the PH value rises from about 6.5 to about 7.5. The PH value changes little, and it is still between 6.7 and 7.5, maintaining the characteristics of brown soil.
