How to raise a razor turtle
1. The carapace of the knife-cut turtle is very distinctive, high and sharp, and triangular, so it needs a balanced food with high calcium and vitamins.

Always supplement some nutritious foods such as vitamins and calcium powder, and also feed some plant foods, such as crustaceans, such as snails, cockroaches, earthworms and so on.

You need a turtle tank with enough water capacity and depth. Because the razor turtle stays in the water almost all the time, it needs to change the water in the water tank regularly (about a quarter of the water in the water tank is changed every two weeks).

The water tank for raising adult male saber-cutter turtles needs at least 100 to 150 liters of water, with a water depth of 20 to 30 cm and a water depth of 10 to 15 cm for sub-adults. The water tank can be decorated with aquatic plants, rocks (large), hidden spots, driftwood and pebbles at the bottom of the river.

Generally, the feeding temperature of shaver is between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius. It should be noted that the temperature difference between morning and evening and season should not exceed 5 degrees Celsius. It can also be equipped with UVB lamp, which can not only heat the tortoise, but also solve the problem of insufficient sunshine.

Extended data:

For soft-shelled turtles, moderate light is helpful to improve their immunity and promote their growth and development.

Put the feeding tank in a sunny place at home. In this way, turtles can enjoy sunbathing better. You can also use UVB tubes or UVB bulbs (which are quite expensive) instead of sunlight.

Keep a knife to cut turtles, especially turtle seedlings, not too deep, otherwise it will be easy to drown. As long as the water level is slightly higher than the turtle's shell.

Food should be fed before feeding, to prevent the tortoise from breaking its nails when feeding with its claws. Even if the root is not broken, most of the new nails are deformed. Knife-shaving turtles had better not mix with other water turtles (especially all kinds of egg turtles) to avoid mutual harm.
