Jinhua pears are planted on a large scale along towns and villages, with a total area of nearly 30,000 mu, accounting for more than 60% of the total pear trees in the city. Generally, the fruit weighs 400g, the peel is yellow-green, and it is rich in nutrients such as protein, sugar, calcium, phosphorus and ascorbic acid. The meat is white and tender, with dregs, sweet juice and small stone. 1995 was rated as a high-quality fruit in Sichuan Province.

First, take the seeds.

Just use the pears you usually eat. Put the fresh pears into the pulp until they are completely soft, then rinse them with water and rub them gently with your fingers to wash off the pulp and other impurities, leaving full and flawless seeds. You can put the seeds on a mat or a clean cloth and dry them in a dry place. This process is mostly carried out in autumn. After overwintering, the germination rate and survival rate of seeds are higher.

Second, accelerate germination.

1. After drying, it should be stored in the storeroom before the soil freezes, usually before 1 1 month.

2. Prepare a basin of sand, wet it with water, mix it according to the ratio of three parts of sand to one part of seed, put it in a cool storage room, and then spread 10 cm of wet sand on it to prevent the seeds from losing vitality due to dehydration.

After a winter, the wet sand will freeze. In spring, the temperature rises and the sand thaws, which is the process of urging seeds. In the meantime, it is best to stir every day to prevent the seeds from becoming moldy or rotten due to the sultry sand. Keep the sand moist, but don't drip. Hold it in a ball with your hands, loosen it and spread it out.

After the catalytic process, the seeds will gradually grow small buds and turn white, and then they can be planted in the soil.

Third, the sowing method

Prepare several pots with good drainage and ventilation, plant the seeds to a depth of about one centimeter, and one seed in each pot is enough for later transplanting. This step is mainly to grow into seedlings. The seedlings can grow out in about 20 days.

Fourth, post-management

1. Keep the soil in the basin moist, put it in a sunny place, take good care of it, and plant it after the buds grow into seedlings.

It takes about five years to mature, so be patient.
