Brief introduction of Wang Qi.
1937 graduated from Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, and 1938 studied in Lu Yi Fine Arts Department of Yan 'an. In his early years, he worked in the Third Hall of Wuhan Political Department and Chongqing Cultural Work Committee. He once taught in the Fine Arts Group of Chongqing Yucai School, and was elected as the executive director of Chongqing China Woodcut Research Association, Shanghai All-China Woodcut Association and Hong Kong Body Painting Association.

1949, director of Shanghai Xingzhi Art School, deputy editor-in-chief of Beijing Art Research and World Art, editor-in-chief of Printmaking and Art, editor-in-chief of China New Literature and Art Department 1976- 1982 Art Collection, editor-in-chief of Contemporary China Art. He has published Wang Qi Prints Collection, including Exploration of Art Form, Theory of Foreign Art, Artistic Writing, and other works, such as Long Live the People, A Thousand Miles in a Day, Late Return, Old Vines on Ancient Walls, etc. Lead a delegation of China artists to visit Germany, Holland, USA, Malaysia and Hongkong. Hosted many academic seminars at home and abroad. He was awarded the Outstanding Contribution Award of China Emerging Printmaking, the Honorary Award of Tokyo Fuji Art Museum and the French Golden Cross.
