What causes dizziness and headache?
The causes of headache are very complicated, and the severity varies greatly. The common cold can cause headaches, as can encephalitis, meningitis and brain tumors. Headache is often a dangerous signal of many diseases, and if it is not treated in time, it may even be life-threatening. Therefore, we should learn to judge the priority of headache, and distinguish between functional headache and organic headache. For the following types of headaches, seek medical attention as soon as possible to avoid delaying the illness.

1, children with chronic progressive headache, low fever, vomiting and stiff neck should consider the possibility of tuberculous meningitis.

2, middle-aged and elderly patients with hypertension or arteriosclerosis, sudden headache with dizziness, disturbance of consciousness, hemiplegia, etc. The possibility of cerebral hemorrhage should be considered.

3. When young people suddenly have severe headache, accompanied by vomiting and mild disturbance of consciousness, the possibility of subarachnoid hemorrhage should be considered.

4. In winter and spring, if you suddenly have a severe headache, accompanied by chills, fever, frequent vomiting, stiff neck, change of consciousness, and blood spots (spots) on your body, you should consider the possibility of meningitis.

5. Headache after craniocerebral injury, accompanied by short-term loss of consciousness, severe headache again shortly after waking up, accompanied by vomiting and irritability, and then gradually becoming unconscious. Serious brain injury should be considered and medical treatment should be sought as soon as possible.

6. Headache with one eye pain. Examination shows that the eyeball on the painful side is red, the pupil is dilated and the vision is decreased. The possibility of glaucoma should be considered.
