Main achievements: in a word, stop killing and save people, revitalize Taoism in the world, take charge of the fifth generation of Quanzhen religion, and establish Longmen?
Qiu Chuji is the fifth generation disciple of Quanzhen, the mainstream Taoism, and also the personal disciple of Quanzhen founder Wang Zhongyang, one of the seven sons of Quanzhen. He has made great achievements in history and is a famous politician, writer, physician, health care scientist and thinker.
Qiu Chuji has a high literary accomplishment, and his Taoist ci is the best of its kind. Mr. Tang Guizhang's Jin Quan Yuan Ci contains all the contents of his Ci, as well as Gu's Yuan Qu Xuan, Ming Jin Yuan Bu Shi and Zhou Yongxian's Tang Song Jin Yuan Shi. Although his Taoist ci has certain subject matter restrictions, it is also a masterpiece of ci at that time.
Qiu Chuji has the heart to help the world, adhering to the purpose of Quanzhen religion, that is, to cultivate benevolence and accumulate virtue to help the poor, to see people in trouble, and to always cherish the heart of helping the world. In his eyes, health care and medicine are indispensable. Therefore, he worked hard to specialize in medical knowledge, and finally made great achievements in this field, and wrote the book "Health and Medicine".
Qiu Chuji also made great achievements in education and thought. However, among many achievements, the most commendable is that he talked with Genghis Khan for thousands of miles and made countless contributions to the people.
Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty praised him: eternal life, seeking secrets without eating chardonnay; Stop killing in one word and you will know that you have made great contributions to saving the world.
At that time, Qiu Chuji saw with diabolical eyes that the important task of unifying the world was still on Genghis Khan, and prairie people were accustomed to the style of burning, killing and looting. Even in many cases, soldiers will be allowed to slaughter cities. After Qiu Chuji went to see Genghis Khan, he repeatedly proposed to stop killing. And persuaded Genghis Khan to accept it. Whenever a general comes to offer condolences, it is convenient to persuade him not to kill him. People who are in a hurry will be in a hurry, and those who are captured by others will help him out. There are many people who want to leave the army. It was because of his constant persuasion that there was no massacre when the Mongolian army invaded the Southern Song Dynasty. Later generations call it: the life-saving spirit lies in the tripod, and it is taken by the sword and sawed. Only after a word to stop killing, people know that it has created a miracle to help the world.
Qiu Chuji began to practice monasticism, which I personally think has something to do with his childhood experience. Qiu Chuji lost his parents and grew up alone. At an early age, he saw the cruelty of reality and the hardships of life. It was because of this experience that he had the idea of cultivating immortals in his childhood. The cruelty of reality made him yearn for the peaceful and chic life of the immortals.
1 167, Qiu Chuji began to learn Taoism. 1 168, he studied under Wang Zhongyang, the founder of Quanzhen Taoism. However, it was not the master Wang Zhongyang who really taught him Tao, because Wang Zhongyang accepted Qiu Chuji as an apprentice and soon died of illness. Before he died, he told me: I learned from machines and became a native of Danyang. Therefore, Qiu Chuji's enlightenment to Taoism can be said to be Ma Danyang.
