The first person in ancient acupuncture and moxibustion
The first person in ancient acupuncture was Huangfu Mi.

According to his clinical experience, Huangfu Mi wrote a masterpiece that set a standard for acupuncture and moxibustion in later generations-Huangdi's three acupuncture classics A and B, also referred to as acupuncture classics A and B. On the basis of summarizing and absorbing the essence of many classic medical works, this book scientifically classifies acupoints and sets up a monument in the medical field.

The book * * * contains 349 acupoint names, more than Huangdi Neijing 189. It is said that the added 189 acupoints were all determined by Huangfu Mi after trying needles on himself. This book also clarifies the meridian tropism and location of acupoints, unifies the names of acupoints, and distinguishes the correct names from aliases. Thus laid the theoretical foundation of acupuncture, and made an indelible contribution to the development of acupuncture and even the whole medical cause.

Huangfu Mi's life story:

Huangfu Mi was born in the 20th year of Jian 'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 2 15). He was a native of  (now Lingtai County, Gansu Province). Although he was born into a noble family in the Eastern Han Dynasty, his family declined after his birth. In addition, his biological mother died early and he was adopted by his uncle. 15 years old moved to Xin' an (now Qianchi) with his uncle and spent his childhood and adolescence in the war.

Because his adoptive parents love him very much, Huangfu Mi always plays war games with the children in the village, stabbing each other in groups of three and five, and wandering soldiers everywhere. Even at the age of 20, he is still wandering around and doesn't study well. People laugh at him as a fool. My aunt was angry with Huangfu Mi for being so naughty. She hates iron and is always worried about his future.

Huangfu Mi was deeply moved by her aunt's heartfelt words. With tears in her eyes, she vowed to repent, change her ways and study hard. Later, Huangfu Mi was 26 years old (AD 24 1 year), and the early Han Dynasty was not complete, so he carried on the family line and collected hundreds of books, such as the Century of the Emperor and the Almanac. About 42 years old (that is, AD 256), because of illness, in order to treat himself, he seriously studied medicine and began to compile acupuncture classics.
