Zhou Wenxuan's contribution
Dr. Zhou Wenxuan is a well-known entrepreneur in Hong Kong and one of the founders and chairman of Nanlian Industrial Co., Ltd., whose business scope covers textiles, clothing, real estate, food, insurance and retail business. Dr. Zhou spared no effort to participate in social services. He was an honorary consultant of the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals and Pok Oi Hospital in Hong Kong, the chairman of Yan Chai Hospital and the honorary consultant of the hospital forever. Dr. Zhou was hired as a visiting professor at Suzhou University and Shanghai Medical University, a consultant professor at Shanghai Normal University, and was awarded an honorary doctorate in social sciences by the University of East Asia in Macau. 1975, Dr. Zhou was appointed as an unofficial justice of the peace by the Hong Kong government, and was awarded the order of the british empire in 1987, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Hong Kong business community for many years. In 2005, he was awarded an honorary academician by the Chinese University of Hong Kong in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the university and society.

In recent years, Dr. Zhou has devoted himself to the health care of traditional Chinese medicine, serving as the chairman of Hong Kong Health Care Association, honorary chairman of Hong Kong Chinese Medicine Association and president of Hong Kong Health Care Magazine. Under the leadership of Dr. Zhou, the Hong Kong Health Care Association established Suzhou Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in cooperation with Suzhou University in 199 1. Since its establishment, the Institute has carried out extensive academic exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad, actively researched and developed new drugs and preparations, and made important contributions to the internationalization of traditional Chinese medicine. Dr. Zhou passed away suddenly this week, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Council of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the New Asia College of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Council of the New Asia College expressed their deep condolences to Ren.
