Yan Di, an important figure in ancient legends of China, comes from Historical Records and Biography of Xiaowu, and is considered as one of the ancestors of the Chinese nation. Emperor Yan's explanation can be understood from two aspects: history and legend.

From a historical point of view

Emperor Yan refers to the ancient tribal leaders or rulers in China. It is said that he is a descendant of the Yellow Emperor. According to Historical Records and other ancient documents, Emperor Yan was one of the five emperors in ancient China, and the Xia Dynasty ruled the Central Plains around the 27th century BC. Emperor Yan is considered to be the same ancestor of the Chinese nation. Legendary angel

Yan Di's life experiences and deeds are endowed with more mythical colors. According to legend, Emperor Yan is a god between heaven and earth. His mother is Leizu and his father is Shennong.
