Brief introduction of Jiaxuan Temple scenic spots:
Jiaxuan Temple, the full name of Xin Qiji Memorial Temple, is located on the west side of Yaoyuan on the south bank of Daming Lake. It is a classical courtyard with three entrances, covering an area of 65,438+0,400 square meters. It was built in memory of Xin Qiji, a patriotic hero and bold poet in the Southern Song Dynasty.
Jiaxuan Temple was rebuilt from Gong Li (Hongzhang) Temple in 196 1 and is an ancient official building. The temple sits in a courtyard facing south and north and south, and is built on the central axis. The plaque of Xin Qiji Memorial Hall, engraved with a book for Marshal Chen Yi, hangs at the door. On both sides of the gate, there are 1 male and female lions. There is a screen wall outside the door, and the Taihu stone inside the door stands as a barrier. There are three left and right wing rooms, one hall on the north side, and three spacious rooms, in which contemporary celebrities Ye Shengtao, Cang Kejia, Wu Boxiao, Tang Guizhang and others praise Xin Qiji's poems and paintings, respectively, and the national pagoda in the courtyard is hidden. Across the hall is the second entrance to the courtyard, with half-walled verandahs on both sides.
There are three halls in the north, with a rolled roof and painted beams, on which Xin Qiji Memorial Hall is hung. Hanging couplets on the pillars: the iron and copper pipa will not return to the river after singing Dongpo, and the beautiful piano will not fly south with the Hongyan in the Southern Song Dynasty. Both the plaque and the couplet were written by Guo Moruo, a famous contemporary writer, in 1959. At the entrance of the hall, there is a statue of Xin Qiji. His life story and celebrity calligraphy and painting are hung on four walls, and various versions of books about Xin Qiji are displayed in the cupboard. There are pines, gingko, pomegranate, zinnia, rose and other flowers planted in the hospital. The third courtyard behind the hall, facing the lake in the north, is a scenic building for sightseeing and rest. The wall of the west corridor is decorated with various special-shaped windows such as fan-shaped windows and begonia leaves. The second floor of the north balcony is connected with the Hu Lin Pavilion. The east corridor rises northward in turn and reaches the pavilion directly. Each stack of platforms is made up of rockeries. A small pavilion was built on the middle stage for a short rest on the way upstairs. This pavilion has two floors, a balcony and a teahouse, where you can enjoy the scenery of Huming Lake. In the courtyard, the strange stones are exquisite, Huaiyin paved the floor, the bamboo landscape moved to the wall, and pomegranate flowers overflowed. The Qiqu stone bridge in the north of the pavilion is decorated with stone railings, and ships can pass under it. The bridge is connected to the Lotus Pavilion in the north, with a hexagonal point, a single-topped pavilion bridge and a floating pavilion shadow, which is also a scene of the Ming Lake.
