Lingshui in Lingshui, Guangxi
Lingshui, also known as Lingyuan and Lingshui, is a natural spring lake, 30 kilometers away from downtown Nanning and south of Wuming District 1 km. Legend has it that there were two rhinoceros birds living in spring, and they often surfaced on the calm water. They are radiant and beautiful, so they are named Lingshui. According to legend, Lingshui is a natural lake formed by dripping water from Tianchi Lake. Its water quality is crystal clear, there are countless fish and shrimp, and the umbrella spring in the lake is very spectacular. The golden nest is shining in the sun, and silver needles are everywhere. Kowloon often plays in this lake, and the "nine-layer skin" on the west bank is the stacked stone formed by undressing in Kowloon. Because of the beautiful scenery of Lingshui, Zhuang village literati often write poems on it, but Lingshui Lake, a fairyland on earth, is harmed by demons and the aquarium is restless. The reason is that there is a thousand-year-old banyan tree on the north bank, and there is a centipede essence hidden in the lower part of the banyan cave. Its poisonous claws are often put into the water to poison the aquarium, which makes the aquarium restless. After suing the Dragon Palace, the Dragon King couldn't beat the centipede essence, so he had to turn to heaven for help. When the Jade Emperor heard about it, he flew into a rage. At the immortals' meeting in Lingxiao Hall, he wanted to send immortals to earth to eliminate this evil. Taibai fairy plays clearly, and this demon doesn't have much magic. As long as Dian Mu, Lei Gong, kills it, and then sends the Tianhe crab to the earth to guard Lingshui, the Jade Emperor will beat it. On an opaque night, dark clouds rolled over Lingshui, thunder rumbled and there was a loud bang. The whole village is like day, and the earth shakes. A thousand-year-old banyan tree was split in half by lightning because of the crime of shielding goblins, and the centipede essence was broken into several sections and died. A huge stone was smashed to form a stone mountain like a crab, which was later called Crab Mountain (now a natural platform for young people to swim). Fish and shrimps in the aquarium jump around happily to celebrate the victory. People in Zhuangxiang sing and dance to celebrate the rebirth of the sacred Lingshui. Rhinos on the east coast play by the water in droves. Crabs on the north coast guard the Lingshui vigilantly from any evil. Just when the water is exultant and the aquarium is thriving, there is a dragon at work. It defies the destiny and sucks up the water of thousands of miles of rivers and lakes, resulting in a thousand miles of land, barren grass, starvation on the road and bones in the wild. One day, the evil Long Yun passed over Lingshui, suddenly rose from Lingshui, and went straight to the evil dragon. The dragon pressed the cloud head, and when he saw anger rising from his heart, he thought: Where is the oasis of clear water in the dry world? So he opened his mouth and reached for Lingshui to suck the lake dry. As soon as the crab saw it, he quickly reached out two pliers to hold the dragon's front paws and prevent it from bowing to himself. The old fisherman on the east coast opened his fishing net to cover the dragon to prevent it from escaping. Rhinos swarmed at the dragon with their one-horned horns, and with a loud noise, they threw the dragon to the south bank. The dragon's corpse rotted to form a soil ridge (that is, a small pine forest on the side of the five high gates), which is called Longpo. In order to commemorate the fisherman who defended Lingshui, people built a pavilion on the east bank called Fisherman's Pavilion. In order to prevent the dragon from turning over, a fish-watching platform was built near the water's edge under the dragon slope. From then on, the water was clearer and the shore willows were greener.
