Wang Shizhen: Born on the fifth day of November in the fifth year of Jiajing, he died on November 27th in the eighteenth year of Wanli. Born in Taicang, Suzhou, South Zhili, he was a writer and historian in Ming Dynasty.

Jiajing twenty-six years (1547), Jinshi. He has served as the left temple of Dali Temple, Yuan Wailang and Langzhong of the Ministry of Punishment, the deputy envoy of Qingzhou soldiers in Shandong, the deputy envoy of Zhejiang participating in politics, and the procurator of Shanxi Province. During the Wanli period, he successively served as Governor of Huguang, Minister of Guangxi Right, and Secretary of Yunyang, and was later exiled to his hometown because of his evil attitude.

After Zhang's death, Wang Shizhen was reinstated as a magistrate and assistant minister of Nanjing Ministry of War. Tired of being an official, he went to Nanjing as a minister of punishments, and gave it to Prince Shaobao as a gift after his death.
