Taoism, nature, harmony between man and nature
"Tao" is an important content of Laozi's philosophical thought, and its meaning is very extensive. In a big way, Tao is about the principles and laws of the creation and change of all things in the world. As far as health preservation is concerned, Tao refers to a norm and model of life and life activities. The process of birth, growth, strength, aging and self-possession is the process of human body change. Only by following the principle of Taoism and nature can we live a long and healthy life. Human beings live in nature, and there are necessary conditions for human survival in nature. The changes in nature directly or indirectly affect the human body, so the human body must adapt to the changes in nature. Everything conforms to the changes of nature, that is, it does not violate the laws of nature and achieves the unity of man and nature. This concept of health preservation has always been respected by Chinese medicine, and has been continuously enriched and improved by doctors in past dynasties.
Calm, empty, think less, want less.
Laozi advocates "being indifferent and empty, thinking less and having no desire". In his view, human life is caused by the sexual activities of men and women, and sexual activities come from the essence of the human body. Essence is the source of human life; Thin feet, strong life; Exhaustion leads to weak life. How to preserve sperm? Is indifferent to emptiness, thinking less, thinking less. This idea is highly praised by later doctors and health experts. The book Laozi discusses this important idea in great quantities, such as "simplicity, less thinking and less wanting". It means simple appearance, simple heart, less selfishness and less desire. "Curse is greater than dissatisfaction, and blame is greater than desire. So the contented are always happy. " In other words, there is no greater disaster than dissatisfaction, and there is no greater sin than greed. Therefore, knowing how to satisfy such satisfaction will always be satisfied, and the idea of keeping in good health will come from this.
Quiet and peaceful Qigong is endless.
Laozi also attached great importance to qigong health preservation, which was valued by the experts of Dandao health preservation in later generations. Inhalation originated from Laozi, who often practiced this technique and gradually pushed the true qi into the meridians to achieve the purpose of permeating the whole body. The theory of static and soft qigong embodies Laozi's thought of static braking, defeating the strong with weakness and defeating the strong with softness. Later generations created many qigong and martial arts techniques on this basis, such as meditation, soft qigong and inner strength in Yijinjing. Laozi's softness, weakness and quietness are pregnant with positive forces such as rigidity, strength and mobility; It is soft outside and rigid inside, weak outside and strong inside, static outside and dynamic inside; There is rigidity in softness, strength in weakness, and movement in stillness. Maintaining the gentle spirit of the human body and keeping life in motion forever is the foundation for the human body to achieve health and longevity.
Be careful and avoid injury.
Lao Tzu said that the life span is 100 years, and people who take good care of them can live longer. It's like candles burning for different lengths of time, with a big core and a small core. Speak loudly and whisper, overwork and waste less energy, and have a bad temper and never get angry. The consequences will be different. Therefore, we should not worry about our lack of achievements, nor should we pursue fame and fortune to go with the flow. Indifferent and inaction, the air is naturally full. He called these "panaceas".
Laozi believes that from birth to death, three-tenths of people can live a long life without being damaged by troubles and lust; Three-tenths of them died prematurely because of ease and wealth; Three-tenths of people who could have lived to be a hundred years old died abnormally because of careless actions. Why don't people live long? People who are good at keeping in good health can avoid disasters if they know how to act cautiously.
Laozi's philosophy of keeping in good health had a great influence on later doctors to study medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that life and death are the combination of qi, the gathering of qi of the living and the dispersion of qi of the dead. There must be a reason for people to live and a reason for people to die. There are often rich people, who have deep pockets, harvest life, and pursue lewdness and thick taste. I don't know that "sweet and crispy fat is the medicine for rotten intestines, and moths' eyebrows and teeth are the axe", and they all die under sensuality and strong taste. People who are good at taking care of life are not. Knowing life is common sense, and knowing death is also common sense. If you are happy, you won't worry about your death. Life and death won't touch your heart, so nothing will hurt you.
Laozi's theory of health preservation has profound philosophy, which has been continuously inherited and carried forward by later generations, enriching Laozi's theory of health preservation.
Laozi's philosophical thought has a far-reaching influence on the ideological, educational, medical and martial arts circles of later generations. His ideas and concepts of "harmony between man and nature, indifference to inaction, less thinking about nothingness", "contentment is always happy", "moderation, good health care and diligent exercise", as well as his research and development of Qigong health care methods, still have guiding significance for modern people's health care.
