Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine is a provincial full-time college. Its predecessor was Shandong Traditional Chinese Medicine School, which was founded in 1958. In 2004, it was transformed into Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine with the approval of the Ministry of Education. The school is now a key construction unit in state administration of traditional chinese medicine.

The school is located in Yantai, Jiaodong Peninsula, and has two campuses, namely Mayang Island, a famous tourist scenic spot in Yantai, and Laiyang, which is known as the "pear town".
