Painter Hong Xue —— Appreciation of New Works
Hong Xue, whose real name is Zhang Xuehong and pen name is Hong Xue, is the owner of No.1 picture gallery and a Buddhist in Lu Hua. At present, he is a tutor of China Renmin University Painting Academy, an academician of Songzhuang (Beijing) Zen Painting Art Research Institute, a founding academician of China Painting and Calligraphy Institute, a director of the Juvenile Painting and Calligraphy Institute of China Children's Fund, and an expert of China Gerontology Society.

Gankun Sun Moon Spring is another huge Zen painting after Renshui and Donglai, Zi Qi.

Creative inspiration comes from a dream I had after reading Tao Yuanming's Peach Blossom Garden. Perhaps this is also the inspiration for chatting with friends about the Chinese dream.

Based on the concept of "painting Zen, painting Zen", the works are intended to express the attachment to the vast land of China, which inherits the ancient Chinese civilization, and to praise the national heroism and the great spirit of the new era through Zen paintings.

Among the selected elements, the whole work has scenes that can best show the magnificent rivers and mountains of the motherland and the national spirit, but these are not sketches of specific scenes, nor are they intended to show their authenticity. Vigorous pine trees, majestic rocks, vast plains, continuous snow ridges, rushing waterfalls, quaint national buildings and villages all give some symbolic significance.

In order to show Zen in particular, in the middle part of the whole painting, Zen painting techniques and composition ideas are used in particular, and finally a unique Taiji symbol and a harmonious philosophy symbolizing our Chinese nation are presented. Among them, elements (ancient pagodas, dams, high-speed rail, urban high-rise buildings, bridges, etc. ) represents ancient and modern China, which is not only a description of profound history, but also an expression of an open national mind.

The overall picture clearly reflects the face of our great motherland, releasing a scene of political harmony, peace and prosperity. This harmonious unity of form and content is the artistic success of China's Zen painting, and also the artistic effect and charm produced by Gankun's artistic conception of Sun Moon Spring.
