1405 (the third year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty), Ding Henian, a Hui poet, a famous doctor and a health care master, founded the Heniantang Yiguang and Chinese medicine shop in Caishikou, Beijing, and he also pioneered a shop focusing on health care. The original site of Henian Hall is located in the north of Tiemen Hutong, Caishikou Street, Xuanwu District, west of Romanesque Street, opposite to Prime Minister Hutong, and adjacent to niujie where Hui people live in compact communities. From 65438 to 0999, the former Ministry of Internal Trade awarded Heniantang the title of "China Time-honored Brand". From June, 5438 to February, 2005, after a long period of careful research, the relevant state departments officially declared Heniantang as "the oldest health care shop in Beijing" and issued plaques and certificates. For the first time since the Republic of China, an enterprise has been recognized as "the first one with a long history" by the relevant state departments.
