Edited and edited by Hu Yaguang, the fourth generation descendant of Dai's classic physician.

In the Yellow Emperor's internal classic, Jin Jingkui was in an array: "Dongfeng was born in spring, sick in the liver and comfortable in the neck." The neck refers to both sides of the neck. The back of the neck refers to the posterior cervical stalk (cervical dorsal ligament). When spring comes, trees will grow. If the drainage of liver wood is not smooth, it will show neck discomfort. Because there are many fascia ligaments in the neck, Chinese medicine believes that the liver stores blood, the liver governs muscles, and the liver blood cannot nourish tendons, so the ligaments will age, the elasticity will decrease, and even calcify, and the neck will bounce, resulting in various stiffness and soreness. Poor qi and blood, weakness of upper limbs, numbness of fingers.

Huangdi Neijing talks about 19 pathogenesis, "All spasms are damp". In addition to the internal causes of poor liver qi and blood vessels, exogenous dampness and obstruction of meridians are important external causes. The combination of the two causes leads to the above symptoms, which is the clinical manifestation of cervical spondylosis and radicular cervical spondylosis.

Huangdi Neijing also said, "Every wind dazzles the liver". Cervical spondylosis of vertebral artery type, neck activity affects the blood supply of vertebrobasilar artery to cerebellum, which is responsible for the balance of human movement. Its brief ischemia can cause dizziness for a few seconds.

Sympathetic cervical spondylosis, due to the stimulation of sympathetic ganglia by hyperosteogeny of cervical vertebra, will cause high blood pressure, dizziness and headache, palpitation and chest tightness, which is also related to stagnation of liver qi and hyperactivity of liver yang in traditional Chinese medicine.

It can be seen that modern people suffering from cervical spondylosis are closely related to the liver. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the five elements of the liver belong to wood and govern qi. The Book of Changes says that "when the wood is straight, it is straight" and "the inchworm bends with the letter (stretches)", which vividly describes that if the pressure of work and life is too great, it will be like the branches are crooked and the insects can't move forward, that is, the liver qi is stagnant.

If you want to maintain your cervical spine, do one more action in your daily life-straighten your neck, like holding your head up and chest out, and it is better to shout at the same time. Neijing said, "Liver, the sound is called." Doing so can not only relax the neck muscles, but also soothe the liver and relieve qi. Therefore, don't keep your head down, but always look at the white clouds and starry sky, which is good for cervical vertebrae and broadens your mind.
