What does the story of Xinglin mean?
"Xinglin Story" refers to the deeds of Dong Feng, a doctor, educator and philanthropist in ancient China. Dong Feng was a famous doctor in Wu Dong during the Three Kingdoms period. He is not only superb in medical skills, but also honest and kind, and is deeply loved by the people.

It is rumored that Dong Feng not only treats patients for free, but also never charges any fees in the process of practicing medicine. He put forward the concept of "treating diseases without accepting gifts", which became a beautiful talk in the medical field. In order to maintain his own life, he asked mild patients to plant 1 apricot tree and severe patients to plant 5 apricot trees in exchange for food as a source of life.

After years of accumulation, more than ten thousand apricot trees have been planted around Dongfeng's houses, forming a spectacular "apricot forest". Later, whenever apricots were ripe, he changed them into grains to help the poor. This story was passed down as a much-told story, known as "Xinglin Much-told Story", and became a typical case of medical ethics and charity in China culture.
