Disciple asked: What is the best way to learn Buddhism?
-Old monk Tong Yong A: Just read the Buddhist teachings! Eighty-four thousand people practice pure land first!
Disciple once asked: Do I have to study for a long time every day?
-Old monk Tong Yong A: I don't stop breathing, I read Buddha all day!
Disciple asked: Master, how many years have you studied Buddhism?
-Old monk Tong Yong A: I don't read many Buddhist books. I have deep obstacles and shallow wisdom, and my career is difficult to achieve.
(In fact, the elderly have been chanting Buddha for more than 80 years; And now I have to recite at least100000 Buddhist names every day. Why do you say "there are not many Buddhists"? Think carefully, the old monk's answer seems to be out of modesty, but it is actually a warning to us lazy disciples. Isn't it just that "there are not many Buddhists, the obstacles are deep and the wisdom is shallow, and the cause is difficult to achieve"? )
Tong Yong, an old monk, said, "It's rare for you to come. Let me tell you a case. " .
Then, the old monk told us about the case of "cold mountain seeking" and "being ashamed of being immortal" in the Diamond Sutra.
Then he said, "To learn Buddhism, you must learn to be patient, and to endure humiliation is Bodhi."
Finally, the old monk showed his disciples how to recite Buddha and bear the burden of humiliation: people scolded me and bullied me, but I recited Buddha and turned a deaf ear.
In the process of enlightenment, the old monk mentioned two words many times: keeping precepts is the best and chanting Buddha is the most stable.
On one wall of the General Old Monk Buddhist Hall, the words written by the old mage Chang Zhen are hung: Believe in cause and effect and strictly observe the precepts.
-waiter asked: master, we'd like you to talk about the reasons for your enlightenment.
-The old monk answered: Instead of enlightenment, it is better to concentrate on Buddhism and read it without disorder.
In the enlightenment, the old monk said many times: When you are alive, you should read Buddha, sit and lie down, and take two steps to say Amitabha!
His old man's house itself is also like this.
During the enlightenment of the old monk, the rosary in his hand never stopped.
The old monk Tong Yong said to us, "Sleep on your right side." . Then personally show us how to lie on the right side.
The old monk Tong Yong answered many questions for us. Select some typical questions as follows: (Disciple asks, old monk answers, the same below)
Q: How do disciples who study Buddhism practice?
A: Keeping precepts is the best, and chanting Buddha is the most stable.
Q: Do you want to learn to sit still?
A: Yes. Be quiet if you can; When I can't calm down, I put forward the idea of chanting Buddha.
-Q: I don't feel bad when I don't read Buddha, but I feel paranoid when I read Buddha or when I read Buddha. What should I do?
A: Knowing that delusion is progress; We should step up our chanting.
After enlightenment, the disciples knelt down and prayed that his old man could live a long life in the world.
However, the old man repeated, "I'm leaving."
Seeing that the old man refused, everyone was anxious.
The waiter (right) sitting next to him said: If your old man doesn't agree, they won't get up!
The old monk raised his rosary and hit the waiter on the head.
Everyone can't afford to kneel, and sincerely pray that his old man must live a long life.
The old monk simply closed his eyes and left us alone.
For a long time, the old monk opened his eyes and said to everyone with a rosary: concentrate on Buddha, concentrate on Buddha! Then he was about to leave on crutches, and the waiter helped him get up and leave, ending the performance.
Despite our repeated prayers, the old man replied, "I'm leaving."
Even if we can't afford to kneel in the end, his old man still said, "I'm leaving."
It seems that the old man didn't agree to stay long in the end.
Fortunately, however, we can immediately follow the instructions of his old man's house. Only in this way can we truly repay the kindness of Sambo and truly invite good knowledge to live on earth.
