Let's talk about the Accord in the Grand View Garden. Whether it is pavilions, flowers and trees, furnishings of indoor furniture and accessories, or even the name of a maid, there are hidden meanings. Among the twelve women in Jinling, the Xiaoxiang Pavilion where Lin Daiyu lives is especially worth pondering.

After visiting the Grand View Garden, relatives in the province liked it best, and personally renamed the inscription of "Feng" as "Xiaoxiang Pavilion". Mother Yuan Chun, why did you rename this place "Xiaoxiang Pavilion"?

On the surface, we can't just read Yuan Fei's mothering status; From the homophonic metaphor, we can read the tragic fate of Daiyu's young death. As friends all know, Xiaoxiang Pavilion obviously borrows the myth and legend of "a mottled bamboo tears a thousand times".

In ancient times, there were two concubines, Heying and Ying, both daughters of Yao. Shun Di went to Jiuyi Mountain in Xiangxiang County to punish the Nine-wen Dragon who killed the people, but he never came back a few years later. The second princess was in a hurry and came to Jiuyi Mountain to find her. After learning of Shun Di's death and overwork, they were heartbroken and couldn't help crying and waving their bamboo poles.

Therefore, the bamboo in Xiangxian is called "Feixiang Bamboo". There is only bamboo in the Grand View Garden, so Yuan Chun renamed it "Xiaoxiang Pavilion". Lin Daiyu's nickname in the Grand View Garden Poetry Society is also "Princess Xiaoxiang", which is one of them.

From the homophonic point of view, Xiaoxiang Pavilion can be interpreted as "fragrant pavilion", and the reverse order is "fragrant pavilion"-and the word "fragrant pavilion" reminds people of the idiom "fragrant pavilion eliminates jade", which is consistent with the tragic fate of Jia Yuanchun's "tiger and rabbit meet and dream of returning to their hometown" and Lin Daiyu's "jade belt in the forest".

The name of the eldest girl "Zi Juan" reminds people of the story of "Wang Di Jay Juan": According to legend, Wang Di was the monarch of Shu in the late Zhou Dynasty, and his name was Du Yu.
