How can we make the elderly at home "serve the elderly" and pay more attention to their physical condition?
With the development of the times, the life expectancy of modern people is getting longer and longer, and the elderly are becoming more and more dissatisfied with their old age. At least my grandparents did. They always want to do more work, always feel that they are still capable and have nothing to do, but they feel uncomfortable if they do more. I advised them many times, even years, to accept the fact that they can't do too much work and pay attention to their health.

My grandparents have never been conscious of keeping in good health, because my family is in the countryside, and most of the work at home is very heavy. They have been working all their lives. Although they are getting older every year, they still work as before, unaware that their physical strength and energy are not as good as before as they get older, and their bodies begin to suffer from various senile diseases, such as hypertension and cerebral infarction. About four years ago, when I was in college, I told them a lot of health knowledge every time I went home. In fact, these are just general health knowledge. They didn't know at all and didn't take my words seriously. Perhaps the ignorant are fearless. They don't know how serious these consequences will be if they really happen. Effective methods can't make them realize the seriousness of the problem at all.

Both of them have a particularly unacceptable habit. No matter what medicine they take, they like to take it twice, thinking that the effect will be better and they will get better faster. How is that possible? I told them that if you use two tablets to treat this disease, you don't think it will be effective, and eating three or four tablets will not be effective. After all, the maximum dose requested by others is two tablets. If they eat too much, they are easily poisoned, especially if they have high blood pressure, cerebral infarction and heart disease. These drugs have the effect of dilating blood vessels. If they eat too much, their heads will be unbearable, and they will be prone to cerebral hemorrhage and have no chance of rescue.

Whatever I say, they don't care. They thought they were not old enough to take medicine, and they would be fine. Until one day, grandma fainted at the dinner table, which really scared our family to death. When she was carried into the house, she had no heartbeat or breathing. We quickly gave her cardiopulmonary resuscitation and then took her to the hospital. The doctor examined her and asked her again, only to know that she fainted because she took too many antihypertensive drugs in the morning and her blood pressure plummeted. We were all very scared. She also realized that she was really old and should pay attention, and my grandfather realized that he was old from this scary experience of my grandmother and began to pay attention to his health.

When the elderly get older, their organs will weaken a little, and more or less there will be some diseases such as senile diseases. If you really refuse to accept the old age and force yourself to do things, the consequences will be incalculable. Therefore, as a child, you should persuade them more and let them gradually realize that they are really old, but this process takes a long time and you should be patient.
