Peaches in Longquanyi District of Chengdu began to be planted before 16 10 (Chongzhen year of Ming Dynasty), with a long history. Among them, the varieties of red peach and white peach began to be planted in the late Qing Dynasty. Modern peach cultivation began in Longquanyi District in 1930s. Since 1950s, "Longquanyi Peach" has been listed as a special product for the central leaders to entertain distinguished guests in Beijing. 1994 Longquanyi district peach high-quality and high-yield supporting technology extension project won the first prize of the harvest plan of the Ministry of Agriculture. 1995 Longquanyi district was named "the hometown of peaches in China" and "the hometown of peaches in China" by the relevant departments of the State Council. 1996 Baifengtao selected by Longquanyi District won the silver award of China Expo.

Longquanyi peach has occupied the northern markets such as Xining, Urumqi and Lanzhou with its unique taste and good reputation of red, crisp and fragrant. It has opened up southern markets such as Guangzhou and Zhuhai, and sold to Southeast Asian countries and regions such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, China, Hong Kong, China and Macau, forming a fixed sales network.

The implementation of geographical indication protection of "Longquanyi Peach" has promoted the brand development. In order to build a good brand of "Longquanyi Peach", Longquanyi has registered more than 20 trademarks such as "Yidu Brand" and "Longquanyi Peach", which has spawned well-known fruit production, processing and marketing enterprises such as Sichuan Polymerization International Ecology Co., Ltd., Beijing Huiyuan Juice and Chengdu Longquan Jiahe Co., Ltd.
