Streamline analysis of people flow in healthy space
I don't know what you mean by commercial space, whether it is the commercial space of a city, an exhibition, a shopping center or something else. The following article has some related contents, perhaps from a certain angle, for your reference.

Traffic Streamline and Building Space of Commercial Real Estate

The value of commercial building space and its promotion are determined by many factors. From the perspective of architectural design, the maximization of commercial space value is reflected in attracting abundant people and keeping them in this area. Shopping is not necessarily our designer's hobby, but recently we have to spend more time in the shopping environment, fully feel and carefully observe and study, and finally find out the factors that affect people's choice of shopping direction and stay, which plays a vital role in how to design attractive commercial building space. People often use vision, hearing and smell to receive the information conveyed by the urban environment in their activities, and then identify and react through psychological activities, thus affecting people's judgment and determination of the target location and travel path. This behavior pattern is controlled by people's behavior habits and is also influenced by the environment. Among them, there are mandatory spatial modes, such as: pedestrians must cross crosswalks or overpasses, and there are also non-mandatory spatial modes, which affect people's psychological feelings, and the travel path is still determined subjectively. For a given commercial plot, abundant human flow comes from the effective organization of the space transportation system of commercial buildings and the organic combination with the urban transportation system. However, the factors of people's going or staying are more complicated. Cultural atmosphere, sensory attraction, even spatial scale or subtle sketch processing may become factors for people to stay. In the design work, we often realize how to build a transportation system for planning commercial plots and form an effective shopping streamline in two ways. ; 1. This paper systematically analyzes the behavior patterns caused by the influence of land parcels on people's lives in this area, and combines them with architectural design, so as to find the breakthrough point of planning and design, effectively organize the spatial movement of commercial buildings, and then achieve the purpose of enhancing the spatial value of commercial buildings.

Take Beijing Yizhuang 1R 10 plot design scheme as an example. This plot is located at the core of the residential circle in Beijing Yizhuang Development Zone. The east and west sides of the plot are adjacent to two main roads in the development zone, and the whole plot is wedge-shaped and faces the intersection of these two roads to the south. In the course of the preliminary investigation, we observed the people who crossed the plot and analyzed their action trajectory on the formation of the plot. It is found that people who pass from east to west often choose to pass through the hinterland of the north-central part of the plot instead of bypassing the south side of the plot. This research result directly affects the dynamic layout of the whole commercial plot. The streamline from northeast to southwest constitutes the basic trend of the internal moving line of the whole commercial district. Commercial building space and pedestrian system are also built on this basis. This arrangement is in line with people's habitual behavior patterns and will provide a rich flow of people for commercial building space.

Second, in modern cities, people's traffic behavior patterns are limited by the detailed urban traffic road system. If the urban transportation system is organically combined with commercial building space, it can often provide the necessary conditions for the value-added of commercial space.

For example, in the design scheme of commercial street in K6 district of Wangjing, Beijing, it is difficult to find other sources of people's flow except the wide pedestrian walkways on both sides of the urban main road because the plot is close to the urban traffic main road, and the travel path of people in this plot is greatly restricted by the urban traffic system. Therefore, how to guide people into buildings to gather popularity is the primary problem to enhance the space value of commercial buildings. After on-the-spot investigation, we finally think that the close connection and organic combination between the project and urban traffic roads is the only choice. In the design, we put forward the concept of "extended sidewalk". Extend the width of the sidewalk, and divide its moving line into two parts by cutting the volume of commercial buildings. The external moving line continues the walking path of the city, and commercial shops are also traditional street-facing forms. The internal moving line will lead people into the building complex, stimulate people's interest from many aspects such as business and leisure atmosphere and courtyard setting, and create the possibility of staying. Free communication has also been realized between the internal and external moving lines, integrating the commercial space of the whole area with the urban trail system. In this way, the transformation between people's commercial space and urban traffic space will be completed unconsciously, which provides conditions for creating a strong commercial atmosphere, thus making this plot a vibrant place in the urban environment.

In the specific project design, different types of commercial building space involve different factors of people's shopping streamline, such as: integration with urban historical memory; The external image of architecture plays an important role in sensory attraction. Therefore, in different types of commercial building space, it is a comprehensive and creative process to finally form a shopping streamline that reflects the value of commercial space. Although it is difficult to meet the needs of today's commercial projects with one or two simple models. However, the commercial street forms and large-scale comprehensive shopping malls closely integrated with the city are still representative to some extent. Let's take these two different business models as examples.

Commercial street is the highlight of many commercial development projects today. This spatial pattern has gradually become a trend in China in recent years, because it is flexible and open, and can be closely integrated with urban space. In the spatial mode of commercial street, it is most obvious to control the maximization of commercial value everywhere based on the dynamic line of commercial behavior.

Take the reconstruction project of Jiaozhou Old Town Commercial Center as an example. It is a large-scale commercial complex planning project in the old city of jiaozhou city. It is located in the local business center, and some medium-sized shopping malls and hotels have been built around it. On the south side, the road faces the river, and there is an ancient city god temple building in the plot.

Because it is the transformation of the old central commercial plot, what we need to do is to restore and refine the commercial behavior and spatial order that have been formed and hidden in the plot around the organizational model and node design of the shopping streamline, form a new commercial street, and connect it with the history, culture and relics of the city.

The finally designed commercial street connecting east and west is not only parallel to urban roads, but also in line with the direction of urban people flow, which also provides conditions for striving for more people flow. The most important thing is to contact the new business district and the Old Town God Temple Square, so as to link traditional and modern life. We designed the preserved vicinity of the Old Town God Temple as the entrance square of the commercial street, which became the highlight of the starting point of the whole commercial street on the east side, and formed an influential historical background around the Town God Temple, leaving a deep memory for people and bringing the riverside landscape area into view.

Nowadays, large commercial centers are mostly composed of modular shops and franchise stores, and even have flagship stores that run through several floors. The arrangement and combination of shop units can also be designed according to the relationship between people's shopping streamline and commercial space, and the sensory stimulation of space elements to people. We made such an attempt in the commercial space design of Beijing Morning Transport Building.

There is a direct commercial street between the entrances at both ends. In order to avoid the long and narrow single-sided apartment, the commercial street is divided into two, and the number of rentable stores doubles. At the same time, consumers can have more contact with different kinds of business units. Set up atrium or street sketches, coffee stalls and temporary kiosks in the open area around the corner. The interior space also creates a lot of interesting spaces, which enhances the identifiability and sense of occupancy. Small units are arranged on both sides of the inner street, and can be flexibly expanded to medium and large units when necessary, which is convenient for renting. The outdoor streets are all medium-sized shops, and the corner of the building is the place with the highest commercial value, so it is designed as the location of large-sized houses and flagship stores. Sunken plaza is also designed on the west side of the building, which can create two-storey shops along the outdoor space on the ground and underground, providing a leisure landscape for the city and increasing the commercial interests of developers.

Shopping streamline is an important factor to reflect the space value of commercial buildings. We can formulate a series of design strategies and consider them in combination with the actual situation. To sum up, designers should maximize the commercial space of owners and merchants, the consumption and leisure behavior of consumers and the social contribution of commercial space to the regional environment at the same time in design work.
