Physiology of traditional Chinese medicine is based on the theory of traditional Chinese medicine, which studies the physiological and pathological characteristics of various physique types, analyzes the reaction state of diseases, the nature and development trend of lesions, and guides prevention and treatment. Among various theories of TCM, there are many theories about physique. Wang Qi and others summarized and developed these theories, and began to form the constitution theory of TCM. According to the constitution theory of traditional Chinese medicine, the factors that form different constitutions are congenital, age, sex, spirit, living conditions, diet, geographical environment, diseases, physical exercise and social factors. There is a great correlation between physical factors and disease, and the particularity of individual constitution often leads to susceptibility to a certain pathogenic factor or disease. The nature and pathological process of the disease are closely related to the patient's physique. The evolution of diseases often depends on the tendency of contradictory movements of yin and yang in the body, including the ups and downs of yin and yang, the movements of yin and yang, etc., thus defining eight categories of disease development and excess of cold and heat in the exterior and interior of yin and yang. According to the basic theory of traditional Chinese medicine, combined with the investigation of clinical physique, this paper puts forward seven clinical physique classification designs: normal physique, yang deficiency, yin deficiency, damp heat, qi deficiency, phlegm dampness and blood stasis. In clinical practice, we must pay attention to the inherent characteristics, age, gender, living conditions, regional differences and other physical factors, attach importance to the relationship between physical fitness and the root of seeking treatment, and understand that physical fitness is an important material basis for treating the same disease with different therapies, as well as the relationship between physical differences and acupuncture, drug tolerance and responsiveness, and the relationship between physical fitness and medication. The theory of TCM constitution also holds that the discussion of constitution essence should be combined with the theory of Yin and Yang, the essence of viscera and meridians, and the study of the relationship between eight categories and body reactivity.
