Xiangshan in the western suburbs of Beijing has always been a gathering place for people. Like many houses in Xiangshan area, "Lei Yin Piano Hall" is also the abbot's yard, with two small houses. In the courtyard, the ancient pagoda tree is lying on its back, full of shade, and a few thin bamboos stand upright under the tree, just like the master Shao. In the piano hall, two Chinese bricks set up a coffee table with a simple tea set on it; There is a clump of orchids in the south window, and an guqin is lying quietly; There are two guqin hanging on the west wall, one is Fuxi style and the other is Zhonghe style.
Shao was born in a family of traditional Chinese medicine in Heze, Shandong. At the age of his parents, he failed to continue his ancestral business, but the cultural atmosphere of the family did not disappear. He studied, taught Taoism and played the piano since childhood, and performed the ceremony of "three worships and nine knocks", which was a manifestation of respecting teachers and valuing Taoism, not a ceremony. As the ancients said, once a teacher, always a father. Mentoring is a responsibility, a tacit understanding and a unique cultural phenomenon of Chinese civilization.
Shao once worshipped Mei Yueqiang, a pianist from Guangling School, as a teacher, and used the piano as a tool of "Tao" and "Harmony between Heaven and Earth". He keeps in good health with Qin, and thinks that the harmony of the sound of Guqin can make people reach the balance of qi and blood; He also divided the piano art into three levels: the artist's piano, the literati's piano and the saint's piano, and thought that "only spiritual enlightenment can carry the spirit of national culture and be regarded as the saint's piano". At the door of his inner compartment, there is a couplet written by a friend: the lyre rhymes with Beijing, and the five-tone sounds of nature evoke ancient and modern times. Visible master's ambition.
During the conversation, I learned that the piano hanging on the west wall of the piano hall belongs to the owner. In 2005, he studied under Tian Shuangkun, a famous piano player, and his piano learning place was also in Xiangshan. Because it is handmade and follows the traditional technology, the production cycle is as long as two years, and the output is only a dozen. In June, at the 5th Olympic Cultural Festival held in Beijing, Shao played the ancient song "Running Water" for Mr. Samaranch and others, and presented his own guqin to Saskatchewan for collection. Running Water is also his favorite tune. In addition to the implication of high mountains and flowing water, he said that "water" can also be compared with the spirit of China culture, from soft to strong, which benefits everything.
Ordinary friends often come to chat at ordinary times, so it is inevitable to learn skills. He has more than a dozen students, and many foreign students come to him for advice on piano. At the beginning of August 2007, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the countdown to the Beijing Olympic Games, Shao, together with a dozen friends, spread Chinese civilization with the wind of "promoting rites and music"; With the slogan "Play the Millennium Olympic Games, Play the Sound of Harmony", a series of performances were organized to welcome the Olympic Games with the sound of nature. On the 6th in Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province, on the 8th in Beijing Ancient Observatory, and in the afternoon in Dazhong Temple, all three performances achieved good results. It is undoubtedly a meaningful move to welcome the Olympic Games with the music of China culture. China culture is open to all races and civilizations in the world.
